Actually, at the time of filming the 77’s weren’t out yet. All cars used in the movie were actually 76’s with the soon to be released 77 front clips attached - all provided by GM. And with the success of the movie and it’s following franchise, Bandit Edition T/A’s were offered for many other model years other than just 1977.
