This is why you get a actual divorce. Not just break-up and don't talk but still stay legally married. Because in the eyes of the law technically any baby born into a marriage is assumed to be the husbands child (named legally the father of said child no test required in most states). And too feel like it would mess up other legal status.

If that kid had been born on a military installation right then and there would have been dna tested, unless given prior warning by father (if he’s the one in the military), and if the kid doesn’t come back as the “fathers” biological child and moms a dependent both child and mother are shipped off to a civilian hospital and the guys name isn’t put on the birth certificate, unless prior warning was given. The military is Big on getting DNA evidence if a civilian woman claims a soldier is her child’s father, especially since the military is one of the few jobs that will Make you pay child support to the point they automatically take it out of your paycheck without even getting your permission, if the kid’s yours biologically you pay for it. (Grew up in the military, had to be with my mom when she discussed this with a couple of her soldiers, and the military forced my biological father to pay my child support until he got kicked out and they could no longer directly take from his paycheck.)

You are correct on most of that, but even if married a Dna test is required if there is doubt of the child’s paternity is in question. And he didn’t put his name on the birth certificate, which he would have to prove his name and any other info at the time of birth, if she put his name on there without his permission that is fraud. And he is in the military, they aren’t asking , you absolutely, 100%, are going to be required to provide a dna test before they start issuing benefits.

I had an ex who I dated for 3 years and 2 months and he spent 26 of those months in prison and 1 living in Tennessee. So we were in the same place for 11 months. He wanted to control what I wore and who I talked to. He made me feel bad about myself then the next second saying how beautiful and awesome I was. Long story short he was nuts!

Just a warning. in my state a baby born into a marriage, whether or not you have seen them for years, is considered the child of the husband. Quite a few states have that law. Do not just separate get divorced.

If I went through the exact same thing this person married a high spectrum narcissist or malignant narcissist just one step below a sociopath they are master manipulators pathological liars and extremely dangerous it's known as a toxic relationship or crazy making relationship they cannot internalise their emotions they are external and extremely abusive I did it for 5 years By the way all social paths were at 1 time high spectrum or malignant narcissist seriously they're dangerous

My ex faked pregnancy & also faked cancer. She even said " she has the paperwork to prove it". I said like a registration or do they give you an ID for the wig store after treatment? Cause she sure needed one the way that chemo ( fake) has jilted her face.

I had a friend like this he met and married a girl and the relationship was a mess but they did get married and ended up having a baby...it didn't last long and the guys parents ended up getting custody of the kid and a little while later they broke up and she went to another state..now some time goes by and the guy was trying to divorce her but she was nowhere to b found and he just let it go...his parents had custody but the guy lived with them and was part of the kids life and doing well. One day he gets something in the mail from child support saying he owes whatever and it was from another state he had never even been to. Turns out she met another guy and got pregnant and had another baby but since they were still married she still had his last name and gave the new baby that same last name. So she applies for welfare of some type and because that kid had this guys last name the government was coming after him...he fought it and it took awhile...the funny part was that the guy...my friend was a white guy with blonde hair and blue eyes and the girl was also white and blonde and whatever color eyes...so was the baby they had together but the new baby she had was only half white...the new baby happened to b with a black guy but just because she gave the new baby her husbands last name they came after him for support...it was just crazy and took awhile to straighten out...people get divorced and everyone just do the right thing...dont give ur baby another mans last name...its not fair for the guy or the child...

I dated a woman for 8 years. She was 9 years older than me, and I was barely 18 when we met. We were poly and lived with her husband who she had 2 kids with. I helped raise those kids for 8 years and did love them as if they were my own. When I finally left her due to physical and emotional abuse, she spent YEARS trying to get me to pay child support. Their ACTUAL FATHER is an engineer and makes 3 times what I do, and he pays for everything. Absolutely unreal.

I understand that you don't want anything to do with the ex wife but when it comes to kids, I would be right over there. Both the mother and dad got arrested and the kid had to suffer for it. Kids come first.
