I would advise against putting USB's into your pc without knowing contents, just as a general rule of thumb, even aside from viruses as there are types of USBs that look like normal storage devices but are built to fry USB ports or worse (Commonly referred to as USB Killers). This being said, If you want to use them, I'd recommend first trying them in a virtual machine on a device you don't care about.
