@@josehernando4904 - They got shots up... no defense. They were simply at the mercy of the offensive players ability to make the shot. Once the ball leaves the offensive player's hands, going towards the rim, the defender can only hope it doesn't go in... and hope is NOT a defensive strategy.

Look up all the times where a player was going to pass, and either fumbles it or changes his mind where the ball hits the ground and the player picks it back up. If no other player touches it, it is considered passing to yourself. It is called every time if it wasn't a missed call. However, yes you can debate if it was an actual intentional pass or not. But look at the replay. His intention was passing behind his back to Curry. It was not an intentional dribble behind his back. I'm pretty sure you know as well as I do that no one would do a dribble like that in that particular position. Even Draymond was upset at himself for fumbling the play. There was no argument from him which he would have said something to the refs if it was a bad call. Obviously refs miss things and don't call things they should, or call things they shouldn't. But I'm just going by pure rules, not emotion which too many people use nowadays. Even if something was a clear violation/foul, they would say it wasn't because they either love their team too much or hate the other team. I've read too many forums/comments, so I know this behavior happens all the time. Of course in real time, it may be hard to see. Just like blocks vs charges, really close goaltending, hitting a shooter's hand (note, not wrist, but the actual hand which some people would say it is a foul, but it's not because the hand is part of the ball according to the rules), etc, some people may see and interpret it differently. It's not like I always agree with some of those rules, but that's just how the rules were written. But you're certainly entitled to your own opinion.

The refs shouldn't be able to determine whether the action of bouncing the ball was intended to be a pass to a player or just a dribble. That leaves the game up to subjectivity and opinion. When you break it down. He caught a pass, dribbled once, and picked up his dribble. There's nothing about that that's a travel.
