I can tell you now, the average Australian wishes our immigration policies were even more restrictive. Also for _years_ people from other nations, namely Western nations, have been calling Australians racist for our perspective on immigration and saying we're not doing our part well enough to help refugees. Well I suppose they can eat their hats now that they've seen how poorly their approach has gone in their countries.

They aren't refugees - women and children are refugees - and only if they are fleeing a country in war. Refugee is a propaganda term, used to deter anyone from criticising the theft of a cheap workforce from under developed countries. Immigration is the plunder of poor countries by rich countries - there is no virtue in it.

This replacement of the working/creating/ christian/euro population of wops and mangia cakes, krauts, polaks and all the other variations of euros (insult name or otherwise), with africans and middle easterners have done nothing positive for any country , ital6 or canada. (as seen by the demonstrations pro hamas. )

I know both Australia and Canada are sinking too. I was simply highlighting the principle of a point-based system where the new entries are checked outside and NOT entitled to welfare as soon as they land. Also, Australia housed asylum seekers in a third country, Papua New Guinea, something quite unthinkable for the UK. In fact the Government is still struggling to attivate its Rwanda plan.

@AngloItalianComedy That principle, in practice, is barely employed by the left-wing bureaucracies and easily overcome by opportunistic migration agents. As far as offshore processing, it stopped boats arriving from Malaysia/Indonesia, but they arrive by plane loads anyway, so it's a drop in the bucket. They "processed" a few thousand offshore. Our net migration hovers around 500k per year, against a population of just 27[ish] million. Trust me, we're on the exact same path. The damage is probably already irrevocable.

@AngloItalianComedy Oh, and they do end up getting welfare almost immediately. There is the facade of being a barrier to entry but, again, in practice it is extremely easy. In the suburbs of Western Sydney you'll have an Iraqi man "caring" for his depressed wife, so he'll have a carer's pension, she'll have a disability pension, neither will work, and they'll have 7 kids, and end up getting "family tax benefit" as well as public housing, schooling, and healthcare. They'll claim persecution in Iraq but holiday there twice a year.

The natives will when they're paid well! The government keeps importing people so there is a large supply of unskilled workers which the corporations use for cheap labour whilst they generate massive profits for themselves. If there wasn't this supply of unskilled workers then the corporations would have to pay decent wages to attract workers. Additionally, this forces natives to have to go to uni and get indebted for the rest of their lives so they can get paid a decent wage. Our manufacturing base has been exported for the same reason.

The easy solution For migrants, a 38,500 a year minimum tax code. Implemented in a week end, the money rolls in within a month. Migrants then have to decide, is it economical to stay in the UK. The result is more jobs for Brits, with high wages. .... @@nmpolo
