The reasonable and right thing to do in this situation: "I'll let you borrow my coat hanger on one condition. Open the passenger door and get the car's registration out. Then show both them and your license to me as soon as it's open. If they match, you're free to go. If they don't match or you try and run..." I like the cops facial reaction while arresting Ms. Davis. "Going of what I was told" What happened to ask questions first and take action later and listening to both side of the story. The cop read the guy his rights when he thought the young man was stealing a car, but did not read the young lady her rights. Plus calling the cops because you think someone is stealing a car, no one is that stupid to steal a car right in front of a witness.

Do not be quick on accusing someone of wrongdoing before actually getting the facts straight. In some scenarios it may actually look like wrongdoing but in reality it's something else. Stereotype and discrimination were used as key factor for the accusation which almost led to a false arrest. This is the world that we live in where karens falsely accuse others of wrongdoing been reality we're just trying to live our life or trying to do good
