Instead of buying the property from another player when you land on their properties you pay rent on the title deed. And also you should play with 2 dice not 1 dice and if you roll doubles you roll again unless it's your 3rd time rolling doubles. Then you go to jail. That's it teaching you how 2 play monopoly

It's clear that Mario and Luigi are playing the game all wrong. They only use one die (they're supposed to use two), they pay both the sale and mortgage price on the properties (they're only supposed to pay the sale price, the mortgage is for when they need more money to pay the other's rent), whenever one lands on the other's property, they try to buy it from them instead of just paying the rent, and Luigi paid for repairs to houses and hotels he didn't even have (you need to have two or three of the same color property to build houses or hotels).
