As an Orlando fan, this is pain.

There is a lot of poor defending around MLS. So MLS is a salary cap league and the salary cap is indeed quite low. You are only allowed to spend $5.71 million to construct your entire roster. You also get your three designated players, who can be paid over the salary cap, and two under 22 initiative players, who must be under the age of 22 and can also be paid over salary cap. Beyond that, your roster more or less cannot exceed $5.71 million in total spending/wages. Due to this many teams invest in midfield and attacking options to make games. More exciting and only use what’s left to fill in defensive and goalkeeping. This has the effect of making games, crazier and higher scoring, which is what the American audience likes. The top American criticism of soccer is that there isn’t enough scoring, so this helps to create more scoring Intentionally.
