CRAZY MOUNTAIN BIKE DRIFTS - PLASTIC WHEEL MOD!!

Crazy mountain bike drifts with the plastic wheel mod!!! I put some plastic tubing on the rear wheel of my bike for the ultimate drift session, It worked even better on the MTB quad!
After trying the mountain bike drifts before with a different material and not having much luck I decided to try again with a stronger plastic and the result was amazing!! Unfortunately after an hour or so the plastic flew off but that was just the start of the fun because I rushed home and put the same plastic on the extreme MTB quad and it worked even better allowing me to do huge drifts all around my home town!!!! I got the plastic tubing from a local builders store and it was just a 4inch piece of guttering but the plastic it was made from was super slippery and just perfect for some drift action!! I was using my Haibike allmtn 7.5 e bike at the start followed by the crtazy mtb quad that is probably my favourite bike because of huge strange it is!!

yeah, exactly what i'm thinking. Everyone just watches him like a mad man and that doesn't stop him from having the time of his life. Honestly that's probably something he had to overcome becoming a content creater. I think he has a amazing mindset and i try to dedicate to it when biking, Just have fun and don't care about anyone or anything else.

Tyre is still spinning, the plastic is caught on the ground and not connected to the wheel, as the wheel slows down the plastic stops slipping on it, gripping more and launching it forward. As this happens the wheel hits the floor and stops spinning. This can be seen by the single plastic piece which remains fastened to the wheel.

Why not just buy a giant pvc pipe and slide a ring of PVC over the tires? It'll be a lot easier to just slide the pipe on than making all those cuts. Love my Pilgrips by the way, I've gotten the courage to hit bigger drops than ever! I just landed my first 4 foot drop yesterday!

hey Sam, just drill a hole at the ends and tie the pipes together with zip ties.

Don't give up on this. If you zip tie each one to the rim, and to each other through drilled holes, it will stay together. Alternately, try to find a pvc pipe with an inner diameter just smaller than the total tire diameter, then inflate, just like the pvc drift cars.

Nice work Sam. But go to a rural irrigation shop and buy y’self 2.5 meters of 50mm polypipe. Black, and about 5mm thick. Thread string down centre and heat it in hot bath water and bend to wheel shape/size. Now grab a small grinder and cut out the inner strip. Deflate tyre, squeeze on pipe, inflate tyre and cut sick!😁

Dear Sam. Your experiments are getting really interesting, but a simple device can make your life a lot easier. You may even have one. Get a B&W or Workmate or equivalent. Also makes a great outside assembly area for bike parts. It can hold wheels, frames etc.

Late, but I have an idea💡🤔- Cut the pipe in spiral. The distance between the spiral digits should be equal to the distance between the spokes. Cut in such a way that it will take of the plastic during the cut which will act as gaps for the spokes. So, you might have to cut it with a 3mm grinder blade, that will automatically create a channel between the spirals. And then you know, just wrap wrap wrap wrap 😎
