In Germany, when I was there many years ago, the hospital kept the Mom in bed for 2 weeks, three to 4 weeks after a c-section to make sure that nothing bad would happen. Here they send the Mom home too early. The German Mom's were encouraged to wear a post-partum girdle to help strenghten her abdominal wall. Lttle one is doing so well and you are blessed to have the support of your family.

You are so right! My daughter just had a c section 3 weeks ago. They sent her home on day 2. Last week she was readmitted but she got MERSA inside & it became very painful. Long story short they had to open her back up & clean it out. Needless to say she has a longer road to recovery now because the hospital didn’t do what they should have done. NOT A HAPPY GRANDMA.

@@julieagainThe same thing happened with MY daughter. 15 years ago when my granddaughter was born. Long story short? If it was anything like with MY daughter, we're talking about a long story INDEED! I just hope for her sake the doctors and nurses handled things more professionally than in OUR case. It took 2 botched tries by the OBGYN to finely get an actual SURGEON in to do the clean up job right. We nearly lost her twice, and she ended up spending a total of a MONTH in the hospital. And on top of everything, she ended up developing a hernia where the incision was.

My mother had three daughters and five sons. Seven in ten years then waited seven years and had the eighth one. Two had cerebral palsy. She always said, "thank God the first two were girls to help her take care of the rest". Large families, I think, are closer, because the children learn at an early age to work together and take care of each other. There's not much room or time for sibling rivalry. They are too busy taking care of each other.
@sarah2.017
@sarah2.017 Жыл бұрын
Lemme guess, the two girls never had children of their own because they'd already raised kids? Why couldn't the boys also help care for their siblings? Most big families I've known of weren't happy below the surface, because of inadequate money, and often domestic violence.

Many women and men also do not realize the hormonal changes that affect emotional stability as well. Post partum depression is a real thing, thankfully doesn’t happen to all new moms but when it does it usually resolves in a few days. If any new mom out there has this and it gets worse, get help from your care team. I am a psychiatric RN.

They used to keep postpartum women in bed for two weeks and some of them developed blood clots in their legs due to not walking enough. They used to call it "milk leg" because they used to think it was due to lactation which, of course, it isn't. Immobility is hazardous. Make sure you walk around the house some every couple of hours during the day even during these two weeks of rest.

She handles everything without complaint and is such a gorgeous young lady ! All of your children are such fine examples of great Godly parenting. And now God has placed another beautiful gift in your lives. May your family continue to have God's hand upon all of you and pour out His blessings upon your precious family! what a beautiful baby boy. He looks so much like your second youngest son. How much fun is that? And Selah is such a good shepherdess to her baby goats. I'm sure you are proud parents of all your kids. I enjoy your channel very much.

So precious ❤ Both human and goat babies..Selah is so mature.. Back in the day, women were on bed rest for 10-14 days .. only allowed to use the bathroom after giving birth.. now they throw you out the door the same day you give birth if there’s no problems..your little guy ain’t so little 😊 I’m glad the midwife thing has come about.. it’s helpful all around

You have a beautiful, sweet family! So cute to see your little one quiet down when you picked him up. The property is greening up and spring is on its way!

Home health has nurses and Doctors making 'home' visits. I recently got by flue shot at home by R.N., PT, Speech therapy and video chats to another Dr. over episode of UTI. So little by little all is returning =have faith for next generation.
