Abandon all your worries. Here's our full English cover of "Crazy Rainbow" from One Piece!
So this cover's creation was quite a ride. Kuron's been a friend of mine for a while now and we've been meaning to collab on a song together. I suggested this one to him and he gladly accepted! Rage, another one of my friends, wrote full lyrics that are extended from Dave Phaneuf's a while ago; it's awesome that they're finally being brought to life here.
As some of you may know, the official instrumental for this song has Japanese backing vocals, which wouldn't sound very good when meshed with English vocals. Luckily, my buddy Vindico was able to piecemeal together a vocal-less instrumental which was a huge help! He sourced it from the menu of the single's DVD, of all things, haha. Be on the lookout for it on his channel!
Since there are so many vocal layers in this song, I commissioned Azina to do the timing/tuning to save me time; she did a nice job! After beginning on the mix, though, I noticed that I was having a lot of trouble getting the mix to sound right. Luckily, Vindico saved the day again by doing the mix! This cover wouldn't have turned out the way it did without him and Azina, lol.
