Күн бұрынYesterday MapleStory player Niru would reach the final conclusion of his journey to be the first maplestory player in the entire world to have the decication to become level 300, the current max level in the game. Niru easily spends over 10 hours a day grinding in this 20 year old MMORPG to achieve his goal. And yesterday it was finally time.
However.. Things did not exactly go as planned.

@@nirorit it went off pretty quick but u have to change channels or relog for it to go away, scardor was on the character select screen and it went off when he logged, while i hadn't it for a while at that point bc I crashed

I've been playing since 2006. During my time of playing maplestory GM's were often times playing the game with us. I know this sounds crazy but GM's had the ability to make their character invisible. Sometimes they would be in your map just watching you. And they would actually ban hackers this way. One of the funniest things that would happen, and it would happen often is that people would smega saying "haha I'm hacking and there's nothing you can do about it!" then you would see a blue notifications saying *their username* has been banned from the server. GM's would also host events in the free market so you can say hello to them. They would sometimes put in blue notifications that they would be hosting a party in the free market. So lots of players would come over. I think this was one of the best era's of Maplestory of all time. As someone who's been playing since then, and still does. During the times of bizarro trainer running rampant there were no GM's banning the players using it. And it was so common. It's my personal conspiracy theory that Nexon was getting a cut from the bizarro trainer subscriptions. Because it was a HUGE problem. Especially when it came to Crimsonwood keep guild PQ's. People would find out that a certain guild was running it, and disconnect them from the server while they were already in it. Which would make it so they couldn't do it again that week.

" A month to level up from 299 to 300 " Isnt that straight up wrong? It takes niru about 16 hours to get 1% with a 10 thousand dollar spawn boosting item and every exp buff imaginable. His 299-300 took 3 months at 16 hours + a day, that would be over a year without spawn boosting totems at 10 hours a day

The thing is, they don't expect you to rush to lvl 300, it's an insane amount of time put on a game, they just want you to keep playing it, it's not meant to be achieved.. especially within a reasonable amount of time.

Man I can’t even pull off a full wap anymore. I just do the 30min one while doing dailies and call it a day. Niru has all my respect. Doing all those grind session to just do this at the end to send a message. He has made himself immortal not only In the maple game but gaming in general.

He literally dedicated YEARS of his life to this goal. And Nexon wanted to interview him while censoring him effectively stealing this moment from him. Absolutely disgusting behavior on Nexon's part. Before this I didn't care too much for him, in fact I felt bad for him because he was literally wasting his life away. Drastically sacrificing his health for this, but now my respect for him skyrocketed. This man is a *Legend.*

I wasn't around for the stream, but I watched the video he posted on his YT channel. I'm not a regular server player, but a lot of the things he pointed out made a lot of sense. Why the heck do premium items you buy have experation dates? Especially the cubes? I've always complained about event items being time limited, it was the entire reason i didn't bother with the konosuba event at all. He touched on a few other things, like sacred symbols and other items having such a limited supply, particularly Hotel Arcus symbols, which totally makes sense. While he was talking about regular servers I do think this is an issue in reboot too. In reboot, it feels really bad to have only 10 a day for dailies, when my symbol currently requires 500+ to level up once. Nodestone acquisition is also a bit annoying, given there's not even a daily for those. There's that weekly quest that gives you three for doing the vanishing journey daily twice, but that's pathetic. The only reason i have as many nodes as I do is because they gave out a thousand during the lead up to 6th job. Honestly I don't blame him at all for going on that rant, he had the platform for it, and as someone not in the regular server, even I think he makes a lot of sense.

I think this immortalized him more so than hitting 300. I know when FangBlade is mentioned, people will always say first Lv 200. But when niru is mentioned, itll always go back to this. The person who could have had it all but instead sacrificed himself to hope for a change to a game he plays.

I think that Nexon won't take any action. This company totally doesn't care about players and probably will ignore this. People will pay anyway and if they stop, Nexon just will close MapleStory and focus on another project. If those projects will die, they will find another and another. Sad but probably true. Anyway, MAD respect for Niru, my countryman!!!

I'm so proud of Niru for doing this, he could've easily leveled to 300 and be done with it. But nah he took a stand for all players around the world. Even if somebody else reaches 300 before him (Taiwan server maybe?) I will always remember him as the true nr 1 player.

Yeah it's hard to understate how long of a journey this was for niru, the man has done a minimum of 10+ hours a day of straight up grind, often times even without 2x and having to use enjoyable winters which are worse for exp than 2x cards, for several YEARS, rarely, if ever missing a day. All those thousands of active grinding hours, all to say no is a monumental power play.

Fangblade was the First Lv 200 in a time when there wasnt any bs spawn items or like 3000 exp buffs, What Fangblade accomplished and did is what Niru will never experience. Fangblade is The True Goat and niru is the one that looks up to Fangblade.

I dont know this niru guy, and im only level 265 myself on bera, but holy gigachad what an amazing moment. Nexon needs to listen to their community instead of sweeping things under the rug like they are doing. Its just insane that this guy had to do this and grind for years just to get their attention.

There were actually people in my buddy chat and alliance chat saying stuff like, "Shut up and lvl up already! omg I'm bored and done with this stream!" Would leave then go back lol They were prob part of those 1K of players that would leave and come back during that stream lol Most maplers are addicted to edging fr fr but are also more than likely real masochists.

He reached his goal already. I mean, apparently no one is gonna care what you say or what is the problem until it did happened extremely harmful, otherwise, the world keep spinning. So he used his strength, his willpower, his biggest move to make the whole server over the world look at him and listen to his speech, all for the best for the game. REAL RESPECT

It just shows how much care he has for the game and i totally support what he did to be honest... It saddens me to see how my childhood MMO is getting ruined by bad decisions from Nexon. I'll still sporadically play the game though because in essence Maple is still Maple!
