These half moons will make your mouth water with its creamy chicken, colourful bell peppers and sweetcorn filling! The white sauce adds to the taste of the chicken. The dough is prepared using butter and flour mixture which makes it extremely soft and light. Half moon can be fried for a crispier texture, or they can be airfryed or baked in the oven to avoid excess use of oil! You can also store these half moons in the freezer for 3 to 4 weeks, and they are ideal for Ramadan Preparations, snacks and starters!
CREAMY CHICKEN HALF MOON
Filling:-
3 tbsp Oil
800g Chicken fillet
1/2 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp White pepper
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Red Chillie Flakes
3 medium Green Chillie
1/2 tbsp Garlic paste
1/2 cup Onions, browned
1 cup Yellow Bell Pepper, sliced
1 cup Red Bell Pepper, sliced
1 cup Green Bell Pepper, sliced
1 cup sweetcorn
2 cups Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/2 cup Coriander, fresh
White Sauce:-
60g Butter
3 tbsp All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Salt
1 & 1/2 cups Milk
Half Moon Dough:-
2 cups Hot Water
2 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Salt
2 cups All Purpose flour
2 Eggs
2 tbsp Milk
Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
