I am glad you mentioned that this painting could be done in both oil and acrylic. For years I painted in oil... but after switching to acrylic... I have never gone back. :-)

Haha I definitely understand what you were talking about at 19:10 when you said you need students to just stop thinking so hard about it and just throw the paint on the canvas. My students like to sit and agonize over one tiny blade of grass or a little leaf when I'm just like, nah just slap it on there. 😂 Great painting as always Kevin! I love the composition and the color choice!

Love you work Kevin, such beautiful art work! I have always wanted to paint since I was a child but family members would tell me I wouldn't be able to make a life out of this. I would always do projects for classes in High School and my science teachers and spanish teachers would compliment me on my projects. Never did anything else after that. I am now in my 50s and my husband encourages me to do painting, even if just for a hobby. Which is what I am doing now. What is clear gel by the way? Probably a dumb question, but I will ask anyway.
