Create a Zip Pocket for your Traveler's Notebook

Welcome!
Taking two inexpensive zip pouches from Target, I was able to create a unique insert for my traveler's notebook.
The TN cover is one I created as the designer for the shop Boho Cottage. The yellow insert is an A5 Stalogy notebook, and the notebook in front is also from Target.

Thank you so much for showing the "perfectly" imperfect process to make this. I really struggle with perfectionism and this was very helpful in allowing me to be ok with my own imperfect creations.

If you put a notch in the middle at the top and bottom the elastic band will settle into it and then your pouches might not slide around as much. :)

Love this idea, unfortunately all the Target stores in Canada closed over 2 years ago, so I cannot get these cute plastic zip pouches. Target was not a big hit in Canada! What about sewing the 2 pouches together with a sewing machine? Just a thought. TFS!

That is cool! I wish I had seen these at Target! I think you could have just run brad tacks into the holes? Since they lined up and all. I dunno;just a first thought.

I would have simply sewn where you have put your fused lines. But I get not everyone will have a sewing machine. Great idea.

Thanks for sharing the great idea in using the fuze tool. If no fuze tool you probably can sew with clear thread along each side then cover w/ washi tape? just another idea. That's a good deal for those zip pouches. :)

I was thinking you could even just string some yarn or ribbon in and out of the holes when the pouches r on top of each other and then the it off. I think it would work!
