To begin this artistic journey, I lay down a base layer of Prussian blue and Payne's gray, forming a backdrop for our abstract landscape. With a flat brush, I introduce bright aqua green, cadmium orange, and crimson, adding an unexpected pop of color that contrasts beautifully with the serene blues and grays.
Now, the true magic begins as I delve into the collage aspect of this abstract landscape painting. With acrylic paint skins, I embark on a layering process that adds depth and texture to the artwork. These acrylic paint skins, a technique I'll explore twice in this tutorial, introduce a fascinating dimension as they merge seamlessly with the painted background, forming intricate patterns and unexpected bursts of color.
As I continue crafting the scene, the dried acrylic paint skins come into play once again, harmonizing with the layers beneath and creating a visually captivating mountain meadow. Through this dynamic interplay of colors, textures, and dried acrylic paint, the landscape takes on a life of its own, evoking a sense of wonder and immersion.
Join me as I guide you through the steps of creating your very own abstract landscape using this innovative collage technique with acrylic paint skins. Whether you're an experienced artist or just beginning your creative journey, this tutorial offers a fresh perspective on the fusion of abstract landscape painting and collage.
In this tutorial, I've shared my passion for abstract landscape painting through the lens of collage and acrylic paint skins, allowing you to explore a world of possibilities.
And remember to keep on painting!

@Sarah43627
@Sarah43627 11 ай бұрын
@@chrisloudart I've done some ocean scenes and abstract art with resin. I hate wasting all the drippings so I let them dry as is, the way they fall to the matt, then when they are dried I peel them off and save them. When I'm in the mood, I'll try to do some art with them, but like you say, they are a little stiff. I've stopped using resin and am using acrylics again, so I thought I'd it a try with that. You really did a nice job with your acrylics. Thanks for sharing.
