We can experience more than one spiritual awakening in one year. In fact, we can have multiple awakenings of very different kinds.
An awakening is a shift in perspective and in perception. It's a revelation, an aha-moment that shakes up our reality as we know it and becomes the initial creative impulse for positive change and transformation in our lives.
This means that our life calls for an awakening anytime we're feeling stuck in life and caught in a limited perspective on our challenges and our options moving forward. An awakening has the potential to be a catalyst out of that state of stuckness and back into the natural flow of our lives.
To be honest, experiencing awakenings makes for a poor new year's resolution because we can't really plan for awakenings. When we plan for the new year, I recomment not to mark awakenings as a goal - but rather to put it on your vision board. This way, our focus and intention is directed towards this very special type of self-care whilst staying free of hustle or expectations.
We cannot really plan for awakenings. However, we can increase our chance for awakenings to occur by creating the atmosphere that facilitates our receptivity to these experiences.
Whereas awakening to now-experience - also referred to as enlightenment - always remains a miracle, knowledge awakenings to the ego, the higher self and the matrix can be facilitated by certain practices. This could be going to therapy or coaching, practicing mindfulness, self-awareness and self-inquiry. This could be practicing energy work, yoga, breathwork, and generally creating more experiences related to the spirit component of our lives.
