I have to admit, that first I thought it was going to be a beginners tutorial and almost quit watching, but the beauty is that you show also some quite advanced techniques. Complex things made simple. Absolutely fantastic. One of the best Illustrator tutorials I have seen around.

Thank you so much for the guide, comes in handy for my design portfolio and a continues running joke that I have with my friend. I just want to add to those who are watching this that instead of picking up the eraser 11:50 you can also select the layer and right click and pick "simplify....". It simplify the vector by reducing the numbers of anchors but still remain the same design. There is a slider so you are able to pick how much simplified you want. Good luck

Glad this video helped you out! I looked into that style. Hmmmm an interesting one. Looks like this could be done with a nice blend of adjustment layers and layer blending modes. If I can find the time, I may just do a feature on this.

Hey, I don't know how he did it... But maybe he used a common technique. You ALT drag one line (s) below the other. Then go to OBJECT>Transform>TRANSFORM AGAIN. It will move the artwork multiple times below the other ones... Or just hit CTRL+D or CMD+D on Mac after dragging the first time. You will to repeat this step multiple times until the desired number. Take care to ALT+DRAG to the desired distance just once. The TRANSFORM AGAIN COMMAND [CTRL+D, CMD+D] repeats the last move to the precision. Hope this works well with you.

I just did the contrast adjustments and applied the cutout filter all at once in photoshop. Took it over to Ai and did the image trace from there.

Hi, unfortunately you can not do this in Adobe Indesign. To create the artwork a series of filters and effects were used that are currently exclusive to Photoshop and Illustrator.
