UPDATE: this effect is currently still being tested and developed and it is not currently in premiere if you don’t see it. It is in after effects. See my tutorial on optical flow for how to create the same slow motion and you can watch my after effects time episode to see the after effects version. Thank you

which version of Premiere are you using? I am on the latest version 22.1.2 and Timewarp is not there. Adobe claims that Timewarp has been removed out pf Premiere in 2018

So I reverted to version 22 from 22.1.2 and the effect was there. So seems to be a bug in the latest version.

Hi there Justin! Is there a way to make use of Timewarp for its great slo-mo, but also have it apply to an entire sequence so you don't lose some of the footage?

Justin, will this have the opposite effect if you want to do a Speed Ramp? I never liked the way that Adobe Premiere handled Speed Ramping, with the controls, as it always felt clunky.

I have an updated version of premiere abd still can't see the effect, is there a way of adding the effect? I have spoken to adobe and they say its not there and sent me the alternative time remapping version which only works on higher frame rates.

I'm going to be that guy who says there's a better way. Use time remapping keyframes and optical flow interpolation. I've always found pixel motion to easily give artifacts in AE, so I definitely wouldn't touch it in Premiere. Optical flow is solid and I've used it in many projects.

I am using the latest version V22.1.2, the Time Warp effect is not there.

hey! is there any "good" way to ramp/unramp a timewarp/timestretch in adobe? setting keyframes in the timeline is often buggy/choppy. you probably know what i mean (at least i hope)

Guys this effect is so old!!! You can even use the optical flow which is much easier than the timewarp. And it been updated sincs CC 2017

Adobe keeps getting better. May I know the frame rate of your original footage before applying the timewarp effect? I've seen 60fps footage adapting to various slo-mo fx and third party plugins very well. But it is kinda choppy when it comes to 24/30fps files. If yours is 24/30fps, i'm really impressed at how smooth the timewarp played out.

What was the frame rate of the video?

Adobe always seems to release updates for Mac long before PC. It's now 1/3/2022... and my version shows PP as being "up to date". Any idea on when Adobe will update for PC? THX- CM

Great video, Justin! Been following your channel for a long time. Years later, you're still providing a ton of value. Thank you, man! Many cameras that can shoot in a higher fps (120), oftentimes will only do so at a lower resolution (1080p). Plus, you gotta get a lot more light on set in order to keep the image properly exposed...or settle fora grainy image (increasing ISO). I look forward to giving this new tool a go.

12/29/2021 and I cant find this effect. Adobe CC swears that I have the newest Premiere Pro version. Is there a staging build that I don't know about? Edit: Ver. 22.1.2 on Win 10

I've got 2 Mac's both with Adobe CC. One machine has got Timewrap and second doesn't. WTF???
