Join me as I work through my Create This Book 3 by @moriahelizabeth; I’m always trying some new ideas in this book and today I think the ideas were better than the outcome, oh no!
In this episode, I’m tackling a few prompts that I had skipped; but now I’m going back to them because I decided to work through my book on chronological order.
Today we are supposed to
1. Create a menu
2. Create a screenshot
But I think I drifted from the directions some... you'll see...
I was actually surprised that I was able to come up with creative ideas for this prompts; but I dunno if this count ha!

Well I think u did a great job on both pages and honestly I think the glue on the page was a happy accident cause I think it looks much better with the pastel purple background then just plain.And honestly if you do open your own restaurant that would make a cute design for a paper cup for your ice cream to go into and matching paper wrappers to go around the cones

All of ypur pages are good! Also, its okay if they dont follow the prompt exactly. Moriah always says that these are our books and our ideas, so we can interpet the prompts however we want!!

The pig came out super cute! Also ice creams with a treat inside makes me think of like a ice cream version of Cracker Jacks. I hope you can one day make that plant based ice cream parlor a reality as well.😊How are you finding going through the book in order compared to doing the prompts that instantly inspire first? Also maybe if ever a time comes when short on time you could do a recap going through all your pages you've done reflecting on how you feel about them over time, or any updates to pages like if add on to the resolution page (also it would be cool seeing more of the bunnyfly and carrotpillars😊 )

Frankie you are so brilliant! I love the idea of looking back! Mmmm so it’s harder to do it chronologically for sure ! That spark is magic BUT it’s definitely more satisfying to flip through the book and not see blank pages sooooo I’m sticking with the order; just giving myself more time for it 😊

@@bycreativepaula That's a perfect solution.😊I had an idea for a page in my CTB3 but since I had to wait until I colored the page edges (I used glittery gold gouache which took some time to dry on each edge side until was ready) because its best to do that before the pages get all spread out (my CTB2 I didn't paint the edges first and even doing one page made it tougher to keep the pages even for painting) I thought about swapping page spots. Since a lot of CTB is adding stuff in over the page anyway, you can keep the book from having blank pages and still do prompts that inspire you first by just swapping prompt pages if you wanted.😊

As artists we can be our own worst critics. I have to say even though it didn’t turn out the way you wanted I still enjoyed this video and I think the artwork is adorable as always. I love Your ice cream creatures. It would be sooo cute if you made them out of clay ☺️

Go easy on yourself, it turned out so cute! The prompts are there to spark new ideas and encourage creativity, so it doesn't matter if you don't follow them strictly. The prompt gave you an idea and you went with it? That's great! And sometimes things doesn't come out as planned, and that's ok. Some days are better than others (and even you "worst" creation is 284837% better than my best one 🤣) It really turned out to be really cute!

Ahhh that’s so nice of you !!! Thank you! I guess I probably felt like that because it took me soooooo incredibly long that I thought maybe it needed to be better to justifica all that time haha! But thanks your words really encourage me 🫶🏼✨🙏🏼
