Very nice. One major learning from this is that the border is a mask! I had to watch it a couple of times to see "where is she masking?" - but you aren't! I then duplicated the action for myself.

Yes! I put a border on the mask, so it was the “bar” that moved. The image itself has a mask that CS3 lets us detach, so we don’t have to add a shape and choose “mask image” which is so convenient and useful! Glad you got it to work!, and hope you find ways to use your new knowledge 😊

@@createdbymaureen The sepia / top image was never set as a mask for the full color one. The border on the top image was never explicitly set as a mask. You (and I) just created a border and were then able to "detach mask", which resulted in the border acting as a mask for the top image. No "apply mask" or apply "track matte" involved. Or am I missing something?

@KleinfeldTechnical yes. Though the right portion, and then middle, are still there for sepia image. I just moved/scaled down the mask of the sepia image and put a border on it. Never masked color image - they were just layered on timeline. I’m not a video editor/dont know much so may be using terms differently than those who do. But whatever I/we call it (detach and animate mask), you’ve got it :)
