Theoretically could you do this in a video editing software and just output a sound file. Also What Audio effects do you use on the voice if any and what are the specifics of that.

why is the voice over tracks taking up two channels, do they alternate between left and right or something, if not then what is the need for this. thanks

Thank you for this. One question: why is the last music bed colored blue while all the other sound files are green?

Because I edited the music bed for time (the bed was too long and I needed it shorter) and as a result it was in two pieces (see the white line, that's where I edited it.) I then used the "group" command to group the two pieces together. When you do that, it makes it a different color to indicate those pieces are grouped. Make sense?

thx Scot its nice tutorial video, even its old one but still serving us. i know im late but if u can to help me it will be nice my quetion is why u use 2 tracks for the voice over and not just one ?

Because there are some points I want the VO to overlap just slightly.

Using just "one" track in a DAW stagnates creativity. The are so many other options in addition to "overlapping" that can be added in creating a commercial. In Audition you can use many tracks. Separating voice over tracks is good for control and adding different effects on the voice track it all depends on the creativity of the producer. This is a Public Service Announcement. Different techniques apply when doing other commercials. So it is a good practice to use as many tracks as needed.
