This speaks to the very core of our humanity. It's so easy to get wrapped up in ourselves and go through life blindly governed by the empty doctrines fed to us from a young age. It's too easy to forget what truly matters, and that is community, community is what matters.

One of the best TED Talks I've ever watched. So profound and inspiring. In our quest to become fiercely independent, we've lost our sense of community, and it's had some horrible implications for society.

What does your ideal community look like? Want your friends to succeed, everyone wants someone cheering in their corner. If you connect to people, you are always bound to them. Have a strong vital network, personal connections Alone, struggling to connect, it is important to build networks

i think most people are so hurt they have to display toughness... they are so weak they have to dominate. they can't love if they are not loved, they can't give if they are not asked... they fear, but they think it's braveness. to be able to work hours and hours, medidating for days and days... not needing anybody? being free from the outcomes? being independent... but are we? why would we be? you are teaching something i'm sure there might be in all kinds of holy books out there: love to be loved. don't fear to love. thank you.

It’s tricky as a neurodivergent person because I have trouble communicating with some people.
@michellek.163
@michellek.163 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I was born with a language processing disorder, so I understand how it can be difficult to communicate, both from my end and other people's end. But to me, there is a difference between difficult and impossible. I've developed a lot of coping mechanisms over 27 years, but in my experience, having an honest attitude to seek connection with others overcomes many difficulties. If people are not willing to meet you 'halfway', then they aren't your community. Nearly everyone is going to have trouble communicating with others, but its our willingness to try and improve which is what truly builds relationships and community.

Okay so let me ask you one question I never was raised in a community so I really don't know what you're really talking about I'm really telling you I'm just the first person that was not raising the community I was raised in a foster home for 20 years so when I come out to the community I'm thinking I'm coming outside in God's world not a community world I don't get it I've been looking in my community and it seems like my community don't got it together and I live in New York City and it's no leaders strong leaders in New York at all their deadbeat dads and that be police and deadbeat everybody's on drugs the Washington is on drugs the world's on drugs I mean what is the purpose of life if your government and your community can't get it together and where is God and I will community no one goes and says things about God's laws and God's rules and they don't have rules in the community there's no rules they are rules but nobody goes by them because they go by the world they don't go by God's rules of the world and this is where the problem is people don't believe that God is working for them they don't have no faith

Honestly this is not how it goes , I call bs. It started with the whole no electricity at a motel ?!?? To the fact that I know who he claims to is not a realistic person because anyone that has been in the system knows you’re in the system and you’re not allowed to leave. This so called “community “ he speaks of is not real and if he found a community they would of made sure he got caught doing something to keep him incarcerated or would of wanted him dead for having all these desires to be better than them
