Every day I wish that the Nemesis system wasn’t copyrighted. Literally one of the coolest mechanics in gaming

I can imagine Talion finally Branding this guy and just telling him “every single thing that led to your rise to power was molded by my hand. Every death was calculated, everything was planned. You have your experiments Bagga, but you…were MY experiment.”

I'll always be amazed by the nemesis system and infuriated that they were allowed to copyright it. 15 more years before any game studio could try and mimic the nemesis system, imagine how incredible the system could be with modern AI behind it...

Imagine being an orc in sauron's army, killing Talion as a slave, rising through the ranks to become overlord, just to find out you where just a game to Talion. And he could've beaten you anytime.

I once had an orc called the Ancient One that I swear would not die. I eventually recruited him after the 10th time because he finally looked unique enough to be in my army. Then he got jumped by a pack of Ghuls and I never saw him again.

This is amazing, but when you think about this, it's kind terrifying. Imagine you're Bagga. You're just a random orc with a predilectionfor alchemy. A nobody, a grunt, a peon, a literal slave. You're doing slave things and one day, THE Gravewalker just appears in front of you. The scourge of your kind, just drops in your lap. But you're no punk bitch, so you fight him. And you win! But he's the Immortal Gravewalker, so he comes back, looking for vengeance. And he's strong. Way stronger than last time. He takes out every one of your mates in a few seconds and absolutely slaughters your blood brother in no time flat, but you kill him again! Then you rise up the ranks some more, kill him some more, and even better, now there's fort he just lost. And the guy that took over? Has he killed the Gravewalker as much as you? Of course not! So you challenge him and you win. You're now in control over an entire region and you've got your own castle. And what do you know here comes the Gravewalker again trying to take back the fort he lost. But you're Bagga. You've got this. And then the attack starts. But somethings different this time. His forces are strong. Really strong. They quickly take down your fortress and all of the sudden he's at your door. However, you're not that worried yet. You've already beaten him too many times to count, you're fighting him in your throne room that's rigged with traps. You've got plenty of backup, archers your trusty bodyguard with his badass flamethrower, and when he comes, is just him. Oh this'll be easy, you think. But somethings different this time. He's coming at you with more ferocity than you've ever seen from him. If not for your bodyguard, you might not have survived. You won, but your victory has never been so difficult before. Not long after this, your bodyguard strikes out on his own, but you find a new one pretty quickly. Then the Gravewalker attacks again, and again he decimates your forces in short order. But you've been here before. You've overcome this exact situation before. You've got your trusty bodyguard, and you know how the Gravewalker fights and what it takes to beathim, you guys can do this. But then the unthinkable happens. Mug, your body guard, betrays you. He's overwhelmingly strong too, and just when it looks like you're about to die by his hand, the Gravewalker teleports in. His hand sears your flesh and as he shames you, his words radiate into your mind carrying nothing but sheer agony. But it's okay. You went from slave to overlord. You just have to defeat the traitor he installed as the overlord of your fort. So you get to work, but he tracks you down shames you again. And again, and again. Every time he does, he shames you and a little bit of your mind breaks with every encounter. Then comes the one that changes everything. This time, the burden is too much. As he shames you, and your mind shatters, a dawning realization washes over you. Why had he been so easy to defeat before? Why can't you beat him now? And it hits you. He let you beat him. He orchestrated your entire rise from slave to overlord, and when you got too big, he orchestrated your fall. He even kills you a few times. And all of it because he was bored one day.

Everyone always gets a Bagga. Mine was a couple years ago in Shadow of Mordor. A nasty poisonous javelin thrower. He led a pack of more javelin throwers and was immune to executions. Had to kill him 4 times to put him down for good. Good times.

There's this one orc in Shadow of War that I've killed at least 20 times and he keeps coming back, at the worst possible moments. I can't even keep him dead with brutal execution.

HERE'S the thing though: Bagga saw himself as the researcher, and Talion as the test subject. But perhaps, in his final moments before he lost the words to convey his discovery, he realized that HE was your test subject all along; and this "Thing", the battle you shared, was the experiment.

This is a bit meta but could you imagine being Bagga? You think you rose from skill and merit but really it was just someone who was bored and allowed you to kill them. That way you would rise to the ranks as entertainment and really could kill you at any time. Soul crushing

imagine being an orc who killed the same guy over and over again and one day he suddenly said "You're not interesting anymore" And he mercilessly brutalizes you without any mercy

Imagine Bagga's terror in the second half when he realises that you have been holding back.

My favorite orc interaction i had with this game was this one dude i just kept throwing off high places, and every time he came back hed be more and more obsessed with fire, he was the one thing that kept me going in that game lol

Never have I ever seen an Orc with the title "Thunder bowels" Having a medical condition, I would assume thats what other orcs would call me. The Grave Walker and The Thunder Bowels.

The Deranged mechanic is probably my least favorite. I like when Orcs have personality and aren't utter schizos.

I accidentally found you through KZfaq shorts and loved what you did and started playing shadow of war earlier this week and I’m loving it so far

Once I had this orc, he kept coming back, he never died. I had killed him over thousands of times. He then had the sole purpose of hunting me down. He made sure to ruin anything and everything I did. He ambushed me while I was getting ready to most likely brand another orc. I made him die to bees, chopped of his head, burned him with fire, anything you can think of. He became so immune to everything I had to literally quit the game. He would not leave me alone. He killed plenty of my captains, he ruined my playthrough. It Was So Annoying Edit: Just watched the video, you're a monster

After over 150hours of playing i got my first baga last night. Absolutely chuffed 😂. Wouldn't of even cared if it wasnt for this channel. Keep it up

Bagga is awesome bro I had one that I killed like 5 or 6 times (cleaved, decapitated, burned, purified, etc.) I tried everything finally I shamed him and killed him one more time and he comes back as bagga the unashamed with an axe wedged halfway in his skull and white hand prints all over him. I put him through the overlord trials ( online arena) and he passed all of them he earned his spot for sure.

KZfaq recommended this to me out the blue, excellent storytelling lad. You've got a new sub in me. Keep it up.

I’m gonna make a story because bagga deserves it: Bagga was always the curious type. He always had an interest for alchemy and science but alas, he was a mere slave, he had no free will in the slightest… but then a miracle happened… a man came into to the place he was held. This was bagga’s chance to become great and he ran with it, defeating the intruder with his stick and was on the path to becoming legendary! but suddenly tragedy struck… while with his friend ogg the man had returned and bagga was confident as he had defeated the man and obtained his elixirs before but the man wanted him to suffer the consequences… it was his arrogance that dragged ogg to his grave… bagga was furious! He could not let the man get away with murdering his best friend! Bagga killed the man again. This teetered bagga on a path that turned him into a genius scientist and an even more genius overlord

Not even gonna lie, seeing Bagga grab your arrow out of mid-air and reveal that he's level 80 was both hilarious and absolutely awesome. Im inclined to add some mechanics like this into my D&D games

I’ve never seen or heard of this game before but now I’m intrigued

My best was a berserker named Hoglik Thunderbowels and he still lives! I was running this revenant of mine through the Gorgoroth Fight Pits! He was 80 and though he had weaknesses galore he had enrages and was an utter tank! Max level and everything he was legendary! Though then enters this rando level 42 Orc who somehow, with no special abilities save some enrages, most of which would only aid him outside the pit, killed that tank! He went on to be a great captain then I posted him up as the main gate warchief with 2-3 other berserkers of similar repute afore a year later I lost the fort, and of course I took it back, and after he saved my life while I fought the Overlord, he took the mantle! Let’s see, that was back in 2020, he still holds the Overlord seat to this day! He’s never betrayed me! Wait a sec, I’m all my years, I’ve never seen an overlord walk out of the hood! 😱

the speeches when you were attacking the fort had me dying

I had a Bagga in my game. His name was actually Bagga of Meat and he had a butcher skin. Excellent use of the random naming. He went nowhere, got killed by a Slave master Olog captain.

Something very similar happened when I played Shadow of War. Someone who I think his name revolved around disease kept coming back from the dead over and over again and I do not believe for a second he stayed dead since I stopped playing.

Being killed by your first non captain, is such a good feeling you get payback but they cheat death. I sliced mine in half and he still came back. Then one time I found him and stealth killed him, I’m still so mad he went out in such a boring way, I even helped him fight a duel.

All this reminds me of the time I had this one legendary orc who just would not stay dead, he came back like 4 times and looked worse each death he defied, by the end of his lives he was bubbled from poison, was nice to have peace from that menace

I did the same thing you did with bagga with an olog, said I was tiny, like a dwarf, and lamented how much he despises dwarves, he wears a dwarven helmet with a necklace made of dwarven beards and skulls, next time we fought I started it with a stealth attack, he said I fight like a dwarf too lol

I love this game. Even after all these years of it.

I was so invested in the storyline of Bagga i was kinda heartbroken when he died and so happy when he returned :D

I had something like happen. Barely started playing. Lvl 8 dealing with two peeps that one ended up in lvl 23 and the other at level 35. Skoth the poet and hork the machine. Skoth kept evading after being terrified and the game got wonky so he kept escaping. In the mean time hork had killed me once, and started actually staying alive and gaining levels. Killed hork after skoth, then the damn dude came back as a machine so I killed him again. Turns out Skoth survived somehow too. Got killed again, and went for revenge and in the midst of killing skoth, hork, came back even more machine. Shit was fun just hearing him say stuff like I'm more machine than orc, and flesh is weak, I am strong.
