Nice video, clearly explains the power of Pigments, and the resultant pad is lovely. The macros make the sound come alive! Recently I've been playing around with sampled glass hits, bottle blows etc to create granular ambient pads. Pigments is such such an intuitive and welcoming tool that makes sound creation a creative joy.

Glad you enjoyed it! Pigments is an incredible synth, and as you say very intuitive and welcoming. If you’re in to glass sounds, check out my Hyalus video - made in a similar way, but I made wavetables out of the glass sounds as Pigments didn’t have a sample engine then!

@@TomWolfeSynth Lovely pads in Hyalus. It's inspiring to use real life sounds and shape them into something 'other worldly'. When I heard your 'Distant Galaxies' pad, it immediately reminded me of the beautiful pad on David Sylvian's "Answered Prayers". It's all too addictive, I need to head off to my desk job now, boo ;-)

Thanks Tom. My first of your PIgments' sound design tutorials. I have done a handful of your Omnisphere ones. As always, great stuff. I have learned a lot from following your choices and thought process. I am deeply grateful.

I forgot to mention. My Macro 1 would not control the Dry/Wet of the Wavefolder. I tried Macro 3 and it would. Any ideas? I will contact Arturia.

Solved. If MPE is activated Macro 1 is already mapped to that and will not control other parameters. I simply shut MPE off.
