I have the same problem. It seems that Vray does not recognize animation. Was this solved for you?

with vray older versions vray 3 perhaps, i could move objects in vray animation. But with vray next, object motion isnt recognized by vray. So it is almost useless to use animator with vray. With sketchup yes it is useful. I wish there was a way to render moving objects in su vray animations.

Yes. I think it only works with older versions of vray. Im using vray next and facing the same problem. I was able to do it with vray 3 but it wont work with vray next. So basically it is almost useless to use animator with vray next.

Hey i suffer the same; it's a trouble of Vray 3.4, i have to install Vray 3.6 and it works perfectly

It does change - in this case, the HDR is running the length of the car, so it looks like it doesn't change.

Theoretically you could do the moving animation with Lumion. You can only animate camera movement in Enscape

No idea - how long is your overall video? Have you tried it with something simpler/shorter?

Does the rendering finish if you let it run out?

Thanks for helping, I left it work for almost 10 hours. Just the first frame of the video was saved into the folder (in the first 10 minutes). I'm using Vray 3.4.2 and Animator 2.5 with Libfredo6 v.9.4. I set the render in a Low quality (800*450). Everything works perfectly if I export the animation in a "natural" mode without using Vray. Thanks

@@danieledericcardis6833im having the exact same issue with Vray 4.3.2. did you manage to fix it ? perhaps we are using the wrong vray version as on Animator page of Sketchucation it says 4.3.4

Can you render moving objects in vray next animations with animator? For some reason im unable to render object motion in vray next with animator. the car isnt moving but camera movement is fine.

@@peterblickle3d88 I'd say it depends on the complexity of the scene and the power of your gpu. In my experience in still renders, gpu can handle smaller scenes but often leaves small defects in the image if you closely analyze the rendered image comparing with cpu renders. On the other average or above average consumer gpu cannot handle larger scenes (with gpu rendering the rendering process uses gpu vram which most gpus have from 4-11gb ram unless you use a workstation gpu) whereas you can push cpu rendering to its limit if you have enough ram. I have rtx2060 gpu and i9-9900k w 32gb of ram and i usually work in large models where i rarely use gpu rendering only for interactive or when i first started modeling the scene and testing the material or lights. I would imagine animation is not different since it is basically still images stitched together to make a motion.

Yeah...definitely don't agree with this one - lots of people need background information about how to create the animation itself and how to set the rendering up before showing the actual rendering. Advanced users can skip to whatever part of the video they need...
