Meet Beidou from Genshin Impact! We had a blast creating this cosplay for last week's global launch, and in this video you can learn about some of the more interesting techniques we used that may give you some ideas for your own cosplay!

for the 2-foam stack you placed on the leggings, I was wondering if you're happy with the results and would recommend this method. One of my worries the moment you brought up the method was the gold layer of foam falling off or cracks appearing in the paint.

This is definitely the method I'd recommend! It works really well with a strong, flexible glue like contact cement, combined with flexible paint to prevent cracking (I used Plaid FX).

great work! i'm currently rewatching as i decide weather i buy or make the boots for my beidou as I am planning on buying the main costume but it's expensive af and if i am going to be at a con for most of the day dressed as beidou i want to have comfortable-ish shoes rather then cosplay shoes that i know from reputation

Your cosplay is so detailed and precise, I'm amazed!!! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your red fabric from? It's vibrant and beautiful! I've been looking into online fabric shops for my genshin cosplans, but I can't seem to find the right colours or types of fabrics.

Hey girls :) Was just wondering. How did you attach your hairpin to your wig? I'm working on mine and am a bit worried of the weight of the pieces. I'd really appreciate if you wouldn't mind explaining^^

Ours is 3d printed so it's really lightweight! There's a piece of the hair that wraps through the center, and I just put a little transparent elastic around that + another chunk of loose hanging hair to secure it, which keeps the hairpiece in place too!

Actually it's the basic level 1 claymore (Waster sword). miHoYo specifically requested that we make it, and they probably know better than anyone what "fits". 😅

I'm so used to seeing beidou with a 4* or 5* weapon that seeing her with a low tier weapon makes me feel weird

@@CowbuttCrunchies I know it's the basic sword, but, it's exactly that, the basic sword, their is way better swords that fit better the character design But don't worry, your cosplay is the best I have seen You look very pretty, so i'm not saying it's bad or anything, i just saying, you already have done the job of the outfit, so if you have the opportunity to make another sword, i would love to see your match out with it Great job 😌👌

@@luisangelblancascruz8549 Well, like I said, the company who created Genshin Impact asked us to make this specific sword alongside the outfit, so I default to them and their opinions. It wasn't my choice so maybe take it up with them! :D
