You may have had too much embossing powder on your projects also. I don't know!!!! Its an interesting concept!!!!! Thanks for sharing using the pancake maker!!!!!!!

I think you may not have left the shrink it in long enough. It usually curls up then goes back flat. Interesting project.

I just wanted to let you know that I used the Shrinky Dinks brand and the brand that Hobby Lobby sells (can't remember the name of it off the top of my head) but both worked well for me. I bought the sanded one, stamped my designs using Stazon black (this solvent ink was suggested for use on plastic type materials), let it dry, then colored it with Sharpie markers, let it dry again, and cut out my designs. If you stamp and the it slides messing up your design, all you need to do is take alcohol on a cloth and wipe it off before it dries. I only had to do this once. I also punched a small hole as I was making charms or they could be earrings. It worked really well using the pancake maker, much faster than the oven and they came out flatter than when you use an oven. I tried different sizes of stamps. A few were probably too small but most of them were appropriate for my project. I saw this technique originally on Marion Emberson's You Tube channel. I haven't tried adding the embossing powder yet as it wasn't something I was trying to achieve at the time. It seems a little messy doing the embossing powder but since watching your video, I might give it a try. I do have a lot of chipboard that I want to do. I wasn't sure if the shrink plastic would be easy or difficult to die cut. It was easy to cut with scissors but some things are easier to die cut. I loosely cut around the designs with scissors and after they shrunk, it still looked really good as my designs were not very intricate. I liked your flower and I have a lot of different sized die cut flowers that would be good to try. Thanks for the video and some additional ideas.

I have never covered a shrinky dink. They need to be uncovered so they can flop around and go back to shape at the end of it. Try without the lid? I use my hand held heat tool, or oven if I have a whole bunch to do at once. It can be unnerving watching them flop around and curl up as they shrink, but don't worry and fuss after them, they will flatten out at the end :)

Hi you may need to leave them in a little bit longer 😮😮😮 and not as much powder sorry but too much powder and not enoght time in the little baker. It had to get smooth. I hope that helps 😊😊😊
