Thanks so much Dan. I watched countless tutorials on KZfaq to teach action, API, schema, etc. to beginners like me but I find a lot of them too fast and difficult to follow. However you made it possible for me to create my first two gpts with action and API; actually understanding it. I've learned a lot. Thanks so much for creating this video. I look forward to the next video about creating your own APIs.

What a great video! You have done the best job yet explaining how actions work. I was wondering no matter how many times I watch your video, I can't get a NY Times Best Sellers list API or a Sports (NBA) schedule API to work. Could you possibly help us out with this?

That's possible but it would require a custom api to make calls to the assistans api. I would get started with and node expres api server.

Yes, thats technically possible. It would require a custom API to handle the calls.

For custom ones then you can use something like kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rq-DgsWp05fXj6s.html. the UI works with Ollama and OpenAI but needs dev skills.

I don't think that's possible yet since it requires a paid subscription, for that you are better building assistants with the api but it's more dev work.
