It takes 22 Seconds to calculate 400 instances (120 x 400 objects) with this method and the Pattern Face Command. But it takes 117 Seconds to calculate the pattern without the use of Composite Curve as shown in the video. The calculation time increases exponentially with a linear increase of the number of objects. This is meaning, by doubling the number ob objects, the calculation of the pattern will be way longer than just the double amount of time! Why this does not work with honeycomb ribs? I got error that geometry needed to accommodate the change cannot be added.

Hi! Very useful video. I'm working in a big pattern of a complex solid, that needs to be merge into a one piece solid for printing manufacturing puropose. Do yo have any tip to handle a pattern of 400 thousand of bodies? I'm finding very dificult to create that pattern even when i made smaller geometry pattern (i find it geometry pattern faster than feature pattern) and then repeat to create more instances. Then the boolean its a extremly slow operation (sometimes days). Do you have some advice to work with these kind of heavy geometries? Ty in advance

Thanks for the comment. Use pattern face and create as less objects as possible. Therefore you can use join curve e.g. to reduce the number of edges. I have solved this kind of problem several times for my customers already👍

@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training honestly this was impresive. I tried to make a honeycomb like structure (optical table for lasers). I had to give up despite it was not so big. For the sake of learning I will try again using Composite Curves, let's see...

@@jacoboku it'll work! I've had a few impossible use cases and by reduction of objects received satisfying results👍 especially honeycombs are very common. It don't even have to be a flat surface. Let me know, whether you're construction was successful
