you'll need a lotta memory though, dont try with a crap pc, its gonna drive you nuts real fast. dont install every mod you find, limit assets for each project to not have to wait 30min until loading the map is done. even with a good pc you'll have low fps with too many assets loaded into your game

RAM, good old fashioned RAM, the graphics card isn't that important, I've got an average card and 16 gigabytes of RAM and I can have FUN with MODS!

@@richplastow3557 Graphics Card isn't that important in City Skylines. This Game requires Processor power, because of all the Shit that is going on, all the traffic, People, Public Services and stuff need to be calculated to do whatever they are supposed to do. And at second place is the memory. Graphics don't matter to much. So if the game would struggle, it is most likely the processor and maybe the ram, not so much your graphics card. But altough I can't compare the looks between Console and PC.... WORKSHOP. There are so many Mods, Assets, Buses, Cars, Stations, Junctions and what the hell else on there. This makes the PC version superior in any way, shape or form.

Very good tips! Thumbs up! You can also use Building Themes mod to choose building sets for a district so only specific houses will grow there if you want the Cims to do all the building work.. then go in and detail :)

One of my biggest gripes with this game and every city builder ever is the driveway/approaches. I yearn for the day when you can create seamless driveways/approaches....with vehicles using them as well. It's prolly one of the biggest things that prevent absolute realism. That and size of yards....specifically lawn btwn sidewalk and street. Wish there was a slider to create the size of this. Creating custom yard/properties on the go would be monumental...Think custom yards on a suburban tree lined 2 lane road with homes of various size and homes built anywhere from 1900 to present day. Lots set back....some front yards huge..etc.....those 2 things are to me the last frontier of creating truly life mimicking cities.

On a second note, I have some assets that aren’t showing up and would love a tutorial. So I pretty much downloaded some famous stores like Dunking Donuts, AT&T, T-Mobile, McDonald’s, Burger King , etc... and others from Kingleon and some other guy. They fit under the low density commercial tab, and most of them don’t pop up at all. I got a hand few show up, mostly Petco, dollar store, all pop up but not the others. The vanilla version stores all pop up, especially the sushi place. Any help would be welcomed.

i use two different road networks for my alleys. i tweak their usability with TMPE making their usage less than 25% by cutting speed limit, types of vehicles allowed, and at each end preventing in busy areas pedo traffic from crossing the street. i can't see using pedo paths as alley ways when they are not. in America there are whole cities that do not even have alley ways. fencing off entire lots is not realistic and looks too bland. i recommend not using them in that manner to get a better looking city. my best tip here for free is to leave open lots to give the appearance a structure once stood there. so when using the copy paste method go back in and bull doze them here and there. this tutorial is geared more for beginners

Maybe use the no abandonment mod or no fire mod if by destroyed you mean they get abandon or they get burned down. If they dispawn, then plop the growables fix that. If you have all those mods and problems continue, check troubleshooting FAQs

You need plop the growables if the houses you are copying are growable houses. If they are RICO houses, then ploppable rico will suffice. I recommend both mods though.

No, but you can get a pc. The thing everyone on console seem to forget is that every bit of content that is released on the console has to be validated before it can be released. This instantly shuts the door on the modding community. Installing mods is a gamble. It's impossible for a mod maker to certify that their mod will work with every other mod you could have installed. Often, mods are also broken when content is updated and have to be reworked to make them functional again. The console companies simply aren't going to allow all those potential problems on their systems.
