Join us as we create The British Theme Park Museum! Once completed, this will be a new home for all of my theme park memorabilia that I've collected over the past 25 years. Along with that this huge new space will be home to a new studio for Theme Park Worldwide!
In the first episode of this exciting series, I start off by talking about my plans for The British Theme Park Museum. Following this, I then install shelving on the walls to house my large mug collection! I then end the episode by building a wooden structure for storage and seating!

Love the Apocalypse sign as it is, so authentic, personally I wouldn't refurbish it or touch it at all, but obviously it's your project, great work

Wow shawn this looks absolutely incredible to think when you moved in just couple months ago and being just a basic normal garden to being the museum slowly coming together has been really great to watch the progress mate you and your dad doing such an amazing job with it and just cant believe how many mugs you have collected over the years they surely must be worth a few bobs 🙈😍👏but brilliant 1st episode shawn cant wait to see the process and its completed

It's been great seeing The British Theme Park Museum expand over the years! It would be cool if you could maybe one day find a space where you could make it a public attraction and house decommissioned rides (and who knows, maybe some working ones too!)

Get an oled tv for the wicker man fireplace, will make all the difference it’ll look amazing 🤩 , I’d recommend an LG oled g series, they mount flush to the wall with the included wall bracket 📺 🔥

Love the wickerman idea, first thing I thought also was a TV behind it, you could also buy a small screen for the fireplace and put a fire burning looping video in there also :)

An LCD fireplace would have looked brilliant at the bottom there. Some are quite cheap too. Looking good though, great build. Decent DIY skills too to be fair, Shawn.👏🏻

Looking good, can't believe how many mugs you've got that's crazy!!! One thing to be careful about is mould, hopefully you've used a proper product (Perma-White) otherwise it'll just spread into all your goodies and potentially ruin them.

Went to Drayton Manor yesterday, was on the (Pre named) Buffalo ride and got to get a good look into the former Apocalypse site, just a big round hole in the ground and wiring from the control booth, sad to see it gone, didn't feel right it not been there at all, so I'm glad to see you keeping it's memory alive! :)

great to see it finally coming together, what a lot of hard work! and it sucks the grey heater design wasn't availble in black because that front door was perfect Wicker Man design, it formed like a curvy X in front of the fire, im sure that's why you purchased it. the black replacement is nice but that square window-like design on the door isn't as perfect as the grey one 😔

Hi Shawn and Charlotte loving what your doing your doing an amazing job. Just a thought I would have thought you would have put wood behind the wicker man sign to bring it forward so the tv would be behind the sign and have the wicker man sign in front so it frames the tv plus make it easier to hide the wires. 1 other thought how about contacting Drayton manor a call and see if they can give you the colour code for the paint work for Apocalypse as they would have the blueprint for the ride and colour scheme Hope this help you keep up the brilliant work can’t wait to see you finally get your dream come true

The Apocalypse sign looks fantastic as it is. It looks like it's been themed to look like that. Love the museum and all those mugs 😁 Have you thought about putting perspex in front of the mugs to stop them getting dusty. I def wouldn't want to be dusting all those lol

Definitely need to use some decorators chalk, it will really help fill the gaps and then you can just paint over the top. Just a suggestion, I would have the TV behind the wicker Man frame and build it out. Looks really good though.

Looks epic. Although I am concerned about the lack of support for the sofa. You definitely need to strengthen it up with corner supports for the horizontal pieces. If you have some leftover shelf brackets they will do.

I feel like a diorama of the Wickerman ride would be a good centerpiece in that room you could have the entire coaster in miniature and you could study it and also display it. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any actual models of roller coasters out there other than the bad wood and the build it yourself like k’nex. But you could build it yourself with wood and stuff around. Gives you a chance to understand the dynamics of roller coasters. You could seal the entire thing in resin which would be really nice to see. It’s kinda fun to build something like that and you could 3D print anything that you need.
