I spent hours and couldn't figure it out, but your video helped me. Thank you very much. In my case I was using javax servlet instead of jakarta!

In the first step I do not have the project template field for web application. The Java EE: EJB, JPA, Servlets plugin are enabled. I am using Intellij IDEA Ultimate (2020) and yet I do not see Web Application checkbox under Additional Libraries and Frameworks. I did however did the Add Framework Support option for an empty workspace/module. I was able to select the Web Application checkbox but the web application project template field is still now showing for new project

The latest Glassfish version I downloaded was 6.2.5. I used Java 8, but it didn't work until I run it with Java 11. Maybe this helps someone

not working. on stackoverflow people we need only jdk8. is it 2021 year? why i cant use jdk 11

Pretty good 👍 Just don't use JSP for demoing web app please, JSF2 is way to go for server side rendering framework.

but how to add other controllers ? why in jax-Rs u can't have a web.xml file , it's far away to be a IDE that handle JAKARTA EE
