@@ML-vo1rq True, genes are important. But it seems obvious to me that real toys and interaction will result in a better mind than social media usage and video games. Kids are supposed to run on the grass and play with their pets and their friends ... not stare at an electronic device 14 hours a day. I remember a study undertaken by some US (I think( university, a year or two ago. It showed that the average attention span of a goldfish is 8 seconds. The average attention span of today's teenagers is 7 seconds. This is why "news" and other information is fed to them in visual snippets of only a few seconds' duration. Otherwise they would not comprehend it. Facebook, TikTok and the other garbage websites will be the downfall of human civilisation.

I can’t emphasis enough how dedicated this father is considering the male chauvinist culture in China. As mother of a toddler daughter, I spent all my energy and time, trying out new lessons with her (after full time work) while my husband spent his entire time at office or at after work social events. Like it’s his right as he’s the main breadwinner. While everything else is my responsibilities and duties being a mother and wife.

@@verminwatch_out1283 what does that have to do with anything? Was this some kind of refute to my point because it's one of the negative effects of technological exposure but also you made it spin as a personal attack on me? Technology is the reason we can get smarter, faster, the technological age is the age of knowledge, the age of information. And such unimportant negative effects can't fight againts it. Technology is our next step to evolution, and it doesn't stop, it will never stop. Evolution is an unstoppable force old man, no matter how magical you think it is to have a childhood without technology, it doesn't change the fact that technology could be a much more beneficial thing for the children of this generation and beyond. Technology never stops growing, there will be a point where you cannot seperate high technology from anybody. The new generation is so much more intelligent than the last because they have the power of technology right on their hands, and you cannot deny that fact, as there are a billion ways to prove you wrong.
