It took me a lot of time to make this tanto knife, and there are a lot of details that need to be handled carefully (some of which were not shown in the video).
I burned the surface of the scabbard and handle of this knife to show the black wood grain, which can bring a stronger visual impact.
This knife was finished without sharpening the edge.

as a maker myself, I must say you know how to grind :) I've seen lots of tanto making videos, but this one finally is a proper one, freehanding a proper bevel. For this I salute you sir! :) but for those 2 screws, honestly, you gave me goosebumps. why on earth?! from the comments I see you understood the mistake, other than that, great work!

The Burnt Wood Grain finish really complements the beautifully crafted blade, I would have liked to have seen the how the hibachi was made it is an important part that must fit perfectly to lock the blade in place, silent when the blade is unsheathed but giving that smooth click sound to let you know the blade is locked in place when sheathed.

It is difficult to obtain a mirror effect with only a whetstone. After grinding to more than 1000 mesh, you can use a wool wheel and abrasive paste for mirror polishing.

honestly you did a fantastic job right up to the point you decided to use the 2 screws. everything else was great, but the screws look horrible on such an otherwise perfect piece

Keep it dry and apply anti-rust oil to the blade.

Nice job, but working with gloves on a belt sander is not safe and holding small parts without a vise on a bench drill is dangerous. It's like running with scissor !

Looked absolutely amazing right up till the point you stuck two cross head screws in the sheath ! WTF ! Unbelievable you put ALL that work into making a truly beautiful knife to go and slap a couple of screws in it ? Just don’t get it .

At that time, I only had cross head screws in my hand, and I would not buy two small screws specially.
