Saw your other credit card card video and applied for capital one savor one card ( 3% back on groceries and dining-my biggest expense) . Then applied for fidelity card for 2%back on all purchases. My credit union card was only paying 1%. I hardly ever use cash, just get too much change and it is a hassle, so almost all my purchases are paid with the card and I pay the balance monthly. Thanks for the inspiration to make the change!

There are definitely some good cards out there as well that do the rotating 5% back categories. It's a little annoying to sign up for things every quarter and keep track of what deal is going on when, but they occasionally do have some pretty good categories for the bonus percentages. It can definitely boost your effective percentage rate.

I've used bank account "churning" to make extra cash that gets invested into dividend stocks. Unfortunately the bonuses have really shrunk the last 18 months so a newbie would not make half as much as I was making.

How do you recommend when shopping for a credit line? Each time you apply you will have a hard hit which can hurt your credit score.

Whole foods charges more so you aren't really saving 5%, I don't think 🤔. Like their food though.

Probably way over-spent to get that cash back. You're playing a game you can't win. Being frugal, spending less, and saving, will make you wealthier than overspending for the cash back.

the key is to only use the card on things you're going to purchase regularly on a month to month bases, and if you see a friend or love one using cash to buy something. offer them to give you the cash instead and pay for their purchase with your credit card.
