Credlin calls out Albanese's 'problem with telling the truth'

Sky News host Peta Credlin has questioned whether Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has a “pathological problem with telling the truth”.
“Today, we learn from emails obtained under Freedom of Information that the federal government's new $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund had never been open for business in January, as the Prime Minister had repeatedly claimed, under questioning, at the time,” Ms Credlin said.
She said two weeks after his comments that the fund was operational, internal correspondence dated January 24 said that officials were still working on draft investment guidance.
"It was not until January 22, so say the FOI documents, that the NRF's board signed off on the application process.
"No big deal, you might think, because in the glare of the media, it's easy enough to get confused about what's already operational, and what's only about to be.
"But repeated claims that something is up and running when it isn't, and then attacking the Opposition for their follow-up questions, says to me this isn't a mere truth oversight, but a deliberate pattern of behaviour from our nation's top leader."

The honesty guarantee::: Five broken promises and the Governor-General must sack the government immediately after the 5th broken promise. All the members of the lying party should be removed from office, not get any ex-poli benefits and perks and never be allowed to stand for any public office again nor work in any public service position or work for any other politician. The AER sets power prices base rates EVERY minute. Not the federal Government. They set the prices based on averaging bids from the power companies. The power companies set their bids based on their own profit/overhead calculations. The overheads are determined by fossil fuel prices and current infrastructure costs. So the current push to build more renewable power generation infrastructure, is only going to affect consumer power prices once it is built, running and contributing to the grid. planning and building more renewable power infrastructure does not increase the current consumer household costs until it is actively generating power. The power companies using fossil fuels to generate in an inflation crisis, and trying to max profits, are what determines the prices. The current infrastructure model plus inflation is the main cause. Both of which were supported and propped up at the expense of investment in renewables by the last 10 years of LNP government. The current Gov’ building more renewable power options is not the reason your bills are going up, regardless of what the LNP cheerleaders at SKY want you to believe.

Prices that are certainly influenced by wars involving nations that produce fossil fuels, like Russia. The quicker we switch to 100% non-fossil fuel power generation, the quicker energy companies lose their ‘overseas conflict’ excuse for jacking up prices. You can’t blame the price of sunshine on a war, or the price of wind or hydro.
