You guys should go back and watch Rocky V, and the sixth film, Rocky Balboa. This entire series feels like one great life story, as well as a journey. Looking forward to your reaction of Creed III. Another very worthy entry.

I can't help but feel sorry for them not getting the full experience of the franchise in the right order. I agree that Creed II is great, but you won't feel the true emotions if you skip some of the earlier films. By missing the last 2 Rocky movies, they've missed important parts (spoilers ahead) like the effects of the fight against Drago on Rocky, why he lost everything he owns including the mansion, why Rocky was unsure about training Adonis, the reasons behind Rocky and Robert drifting apart, the impact of Adrian's passing on Rocky and how he coped, why Rocky returned to Philadelphia, and many other crucial elements. It just isn't the same. I hope they can still catch up and do it right. In fact, I suggest they watch other reviewers who have followed the proper sequence of all the Rocky and Creed films. It's unfortunate when reviewers react positively to mediocre movies but hesitate to give all the Rocky films a fair chance. Clearly, they haven't built that emotional connection with Rocky, and it's a big mistake to jump back into Creed without it. By the way, I intentionally added the spoilers so they'll see what they've missed and there's a lot. The old Rocky we see in Creed is mostly shaped by his character in the two films they missed to watch. Those who didn't like the last two films are obviously just focused on the boxing action rather than appreciating Rocky as a character who has inspired people worldwide. This is what sets Rocky apart from Creed. Creed focuses mostly on boxing, whereas Rocky tells a love story from start to finish. We can connect with and gain insights from Rocky because it shows real-life situations. It's unfortunate that some folks either don't understand this or refuse to admit they've overlooked the true heart of Rocky.

Huge huge huge huge mistake not watching Rocky five and Rocky Balboa… Rocky Balboa, to me, is one of the best in the series and most heartfelt… it really is about a man searching for meaning later in his life. What a mistake.

So… I sit in the sauna for 5 min before my workouts. It’s essentially warming up without expending energy. The Creed II training montage is exactly 5 min long so you bet I watch it every time.

Love that you guys get as emotional watching these as I do the Rocky movies are a real journey of emotion. I'd say there are bits and pieces of context and things they call back from 5 and 6 that would have prepared you a bit more for the Creed films like the situations with Rocky's son, Adrian and Paulie. Just a heads up Rocky 5 is probably the weakest of all the movies but the bar is just insanely high and I enjoy all the movies so worth a watch even if you don't upload it. Rocky Balboa is a must watch not only because it adds some context but it's also a damn good movie, one of the best in the series for sure. I'd put 1,2 and Balboa as my favourites to watch/rewatch. I have great affection for this movie. It left me excited and it also has brutal and spectacular scenes. It is on the list of the best movies that I have enjoyed and also my favorite Rocky Balboa saga😊❤ I hope they make a reaction video for the third movie 🙏🏻

A portion of the folks complaining to you about watching Rocky 5 and 6 before Creed is because they prefer Rocky immensely over Creed and wants his story elements to hit harder for you. But I know that you're watching the series for Creed, not Rocky, and there's nothing wrong with that. I've watch Rocky 1-5, and all three Creeds. (Didn't care for 6) And I know I still would have enjoyed the creed movies immensely even if I hadn't seen the first 5 Rocky films, but that's because I'm watching it for Creed, not Rocky, which is not the cast for some of the commenters here. With that said, I can't wait for you to watch Creed 3, it's my favorite movie of the entire franchise. (My Top 3 is Creed 3, Creed 2, then Rocky 4)

The son from Rocky 5 was Stallone's real son Sage but he passed away in 2012 i think. Rocky 4 Stallone was married to Drago's wife at the time and very jealous of Drago. He thought they were really messing around. their marrage didnt last long tho. she said it was one of the worst mistakes she ever made.
