I just bought a new Royal Oud. Still performs well. Bois du Portugal is one of my favorites, even though it's a bit on the mature side. I need a new bottle myself.

Pierre Bourdon was a Shadow Perfumer. To bad really, since he is amazing. He's getting some recognition now. I see fragrantica has added him to some fragrances. 😉

Guess that depends if you like dense, sweet and a little spicy. I personally wear whatever I want whenever. Probably a good idea to get a sample and see how you like it. 😉

Creeds Oud is beautiful, however, it is not nearly as powerful as Elixir . A classy scent for the well dressed. Bvlgari Man has some spicy ones . So does Mancera. Red Tabacco is powerful and smells great. 😉

@@ScentTrail I did order a sample set from Parfum de marly and it arrived today and I have to say out of the 7 samples I love herod that fresh vanilla with tobacco etc. I will definitely get green irish tweed as it recommended alot. I'll look at that video as wouldn't mind having a few fresh and a few winter fragrances to change things up here and there

Try Viking cologne

It isn't a beast fragrance, so 2 hrs of good projection with 6hrs longevity before it settled into a skin scent.🤙

Fragrances always evolve over time. Due to climate , natural resources and of course the bottom line ( 💰) . Short answer yes ,there are different batches. Of course it could also be your bodys chemistry, although it wouldn't have a huge affect. Hope it helps 😉

I just bought The Royal Oud At Sacks Fifth Avenue. No Cello.🧐

It maybe a U.K/European thing. I bought a 2019 and a 2020 batch of Aventus from Harrods in London, both of which were cellophane wrapped. My 2018 batch of Viking however wasn’t.

I've been looking arround the web. Nothing conclusive. Some say, only 75ml Exclusives are wrapped. Some say the Retailer wraps the product. Nothing in the Creed website. Hmmm Guess ,It is best to check Batch codes to be sure.🍻

There's no way any genuine bottle of Royal Oud would or could smell like kerosene, unless your nose is faulty.

Give it a couple weeks to mature same thing happened to me when I bought Aventus sprayed it on and it smelled like moss and musk……waited weeks later now I smell the pineapple note
