My thoughts on the new Creed Viking Cologne which comes 4 years after the original Creed Viking which came out in 2017. Is this new version necessary? Well, you must smell to come to that conclusion but I think to me it smells great. It's a very Fresh, Invigorating, Classy, and Masculine Aromatic Fougere Fragrance. Viking Cologne might be redundant to some but I feel like it's a solid flanker. Its top notes really wear so perfectly with the herbal spicy notes. Top notch release.

I’ve heard Viking was great and that Viking cologne was awful. I’ve seen multiple reviews say it’s not even close to Viking and shouldn’t be called Vikings cologne.

I thought the Cologne was pretty unique and fresh. Tried it on paper in Vegas and enjoyed it. Didn't buy it and actually ordered original Viking.

I love Viking even much more than Aventus but I'm not sure I need or want a flanker of it, but who knows when I get around to trying it I may like it 🤷‍♂️

Personally I like the cologne version more in both Aventus and Viking. The original Viking smells a bit too much of Big Red chewing gum in the opening. Dry down on the Viking cologne sets it apart from the original. I agree about the crowd pleasing comment. It’s nice when your girl just wants to smell your neck because she likes the way it smells. Viking cologne is a banger.

I really really love the OG viking opening. One of the best. I just can't get into the lingering dry down. Feels and smells a little greasy if that makes sense. I think the Cologne sounds quite good. Will try

Personally I’m not a fan of either. Viking isn’t one of the few Creeds I enjoy especially at that price range. They simply aren’t unique for the most part

@@uncouthliyouth4486 The only Creeds I own are Spice and Wood and Millesime Imperial. Both are great in their own way but neither has great projection as I find with most Creed fragrances which is why I’m not a huge fan of the brand in general

"For the most part" this is most definitely more unique then Aventus or even Royal Oud. I bet you couldn't describe the original Viking if I paid you.

Sounds interesting. I like the original viking although it rubs me the wrong way at times.. Sometimes I feel it's too sour/clashing or something.. but I enjoy the masculine kind of dry down it has.

Check out Boss Alive. Its branded as a fem frag but its totally unisex imo and one of the few I've liked in the duty free this year.

I do appreciate the fresh citrus take on this. I don’t get great performance from it though, less than 6 hours. And at this price point I expect more.

They're getting too greedy. They think if the bottle doesn't last as long they'll come back for more. The thing is people will flock to fragr that not only smell god but last..

Excellent assessment, purchased this the weekend and the smell is amazing, but could do with enhanced projection. Think you could layer this quite easily without going too heavy, I will be trying this over the next few weeks.

I work at Neiman Marcus in Massachusetts & we're not going to carry the new Creed Viking Colonge . I like the Original Viking that woody Citrus smell phenomenal!!

Hi Sebastian! Love the original Viking. If I’m not mistaken it was not received well when it first launched people were confused about the name and the red styled Aventus esque bottle. And looked over the juice itself. Only to find that later that creed made such a pleasant clean barbershop style scent. Perhaps it isn’t what the crowd wanted but I’m sure glad it’s here. I don’t wear it often but when I do it’s very satisfying. I’m hoping for a similar feeling with this new one. Fingers crossed🤞

I totally see the Chanel Boy comparison. The Creed is definitely more masculine leaning with the woods. I definitely see it being a success for them. Kind of makes me curious of they will continue this trend and maybe update their catalog with this more mass appealing/modern touch. I do like the whole idea of classic fragrances with a modern twist. Kind of like Francesca Bianchi Etruscan Waters, Tom Ford Beau de Jour and some of the Parfums de Nicolai offerings

Best Creed is Royal Oud and Spice & Wood. Hands down. But original Viking in top 5 for me. Not sure about this one.

I’ve tested the original one several times and I want to like it, but I just can’t seem to like it. Maybe a lighter version will do the trick. I’m going to check out my local Bloomingdales and get my nose on it.

I have a small decant of Viking Cologne and although I enjoy it, I won’t be buying a bottle. Performance on my skin is dismal and I think it’s redundant even if you own TdH. They even copied Hermes’ orange color lol. I love the original Viking, but this shouldn’t garner the Viking name imo... just a cash grab from Creed based off of original Viking’s success. I do enjoy the cologne version, but it’s not worth the price and I actually prefer the Terre D’Hermes. Try before you decide to buy

Think Viking is a scent that is a bit devisive. The original not for me. The new cologne should be bette butr still doesn't do it for me. Much better frags in their range.

As far as I'm concerned Creed has completely forfeited all legitimacy. Between the exuberant price and extremely watered down reformulations they have lost my favor for sure.
