It's not the age gap, it's the fact that he was only 15, plus she was in a position of authority over him. I had to laugh at the photo as he looked exactly the same as he does now, at age 15! Even stranger is, how openly amorous they were in front of his friends during his teenage years! He's hanging out with other teens and kissing her passionately in front of them. Also she was his mentor and basically coached him into becoming President and set out a life path for him (study economics, enter politics, become economics minister, then President). You also have to remember that the French still vehemently protect Roman Polanski and his "relationship" with a 13 year old. That woman has now revealed more and it was worse than what came out in the past. She was pressured into silence and the sex was quite brutal.

However, if they meet later and feel a connection, as long as they are both at or above the age of consent, then that is their business. My husband is twenty-two years older than I. He has children older than I. The only problem that has ever come up in relation to our age difference is he will likely die before me. He is now eighty-five and it is a pretty good bet he will die first. I will likely live some time after that and, since we have been married for thirty-five years, it will be quite lonely. But that is what happens any time one's spouse dies before one.
