There's a reason lie detector test results are not admissible in court. They don't detect lies, only nervousness and people with a high level of self control / self confidence can beat them easily, highly sensitive/neurotic people on the other hand are nervous even when they are telling the truth.. so there is not much to gain from such a test, except for cops to put pressure on a suspect and maybe he makes a mistake and says something he wouldn't have in normal circumstances.
@moimeself10885 жыл бұрын
You are tested against your own baseline, so that doesn't make any difference. You should watch the Chris Watts interrogation.
@clemens3795 жыл бұрын
@@moimeself1088 There is no scientific basis for trusting a lie detector. Have a look at citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.1018.734&rep=rep1&type=pdf I quote: "Because the CQT (a) has a weak theoretical foundation, making it unlikely that it can be as accurate as polygraph proponents claim, (b) is biased against the innocent, and (c) may be subject to countermeasures used by the guilty to appear truthful, CQT results cannot constitute evidence of either deception or truthfulness." @@moimeself1088 yea you're tested against your own baseline, but that doesnt mean theres any truth or lie to a statement that may trigger a spike in bloodpressure due to the sensitivity of the subject matter. Lie detector tests show when someone gets excited or nervous, not when they lie. Its then up to the facilitator to discern what May be a lie and what may just be the subject being nervous/concerned. Like if you're talking to someone about domestic violence and they were a victim of child abuse earlier in their life, there may be certain things that would trigger old memories whether they're guilty of something or not. And no matter how many questions you've asked prior such as their favorite color, date of birth, first pet's name, etc. is going to help avoid that

@@AmusedChild So prove it. If I didn't kill somebody, but I've been hounded by press and people biting at my heels for an interview, it would get old very quickly. He was found not guilty in court, that means they put the magnifier right on him for everyone to see, and nobody found anything that connects him to her fate, so that should be that.

Hearing the mother cry is heartbreaking :( this is so sad

That mother basically fed her child to the streets. I don't understand how any mother could allow their child to be away from the home for days at a time. My child is 14 and I don't even let her out of my sight for more than a day, and if she spending the night with friends I need to investigate the mom and everything and everybody that's going to be in that house I don't understand. Rest in peace sweet Kayla

Yeah my daughter is 18 and in college. I still flip out if she doesn't let me know what she's doing . It's both even about being nosy. I just want to know you're good so I don't flip out and start calling people/looking for you.

I’m a 17 year old boy and living in Ireland and if I’m gone for an hour without any text to them maybe someone would text me to c how I’m getting on or where am I, I work in the fields in tractors and machinery which can seriously injure u, I don’t like them texting me all the time but I suppose if I ever get trapped in the machine nd they don’t hear from me, they have a good idea something is up

Kevin was “ friend zoned” and asked by her to be dropped off at Miguel’s house. They never arrived to Miguel’s house cause Kevin might have done something to her before , hence why he gave the wrong adress. Another thing how the hell does a teenager goes missing 1 week “ before noticed”?
