Lets say you started an assembly and created all parts within the context of the assembly with a skeleton, is it possible to apply mechanism constraints after the fact?

It’s not recommended, but you could if you change the update settings to the Data Sharing features. It would be messy and the chances of everything breaking are high if anyone sets the Copy Geoms back to auto update. I recommend you watch my videos on Top Down Design and Mechanisms. I should have at least one playlist.
