The one lady had it right when she said the mixture of different ethnic groups but left out French and the blending of culture through the mixtures there's different types of Creoles around the world as well so they should make the distinction of what Louisiana Creole is.. I think they couldn't get it right because many people frown upon that and don't claim as seen with the older woman who said human some consider it as not claiming African that's why Beyonce got attacked for claiming it and she became more pro black some still aren't accepting of her

She has an unreleased song called "Creole," and that song was so heavily criticized and attacked by the blk community that it never got popular, was never officially released, and wasn't given a fighting chance.. Look up the song on youtube right now, and go to the comment sections. Sooooo many blk people hating the song, and attacking it in the comments. I'll give you another example. When She released her Lemonade album, and specifically the song "Formation," blk people once again criticized and attacked her for mentioning the words "yellow bone" and "Creole." There are even think pieces and articles that have been written with the sole purpose of attacking her for mentioning her Creole heritage in the song, and for some of the imagery in the actual video. Like the other comment pointed out, this is why she is so super pro blk now. She can't mention her Creole heritage without being attacked, so she has to go above and beyond to pander to these wokesters so they won't attack her. Just because YOU never paid attention, doesn't mean it never happened.

That isn't what Creole means. The word is gone to multiple Innovations but it has always been associated with a culture not an ethnicity race or nationality. Louisiana Creole in Mississippi Creole is also called African-American Creole. Louisiana Creole is a subculture of African-American. It's based on the region. Just like the Gullah people in the Carolinas

I try to explain that to people all the time, I can't speak for everybody in new orleans, but the ones I know don't really fw zydeco, and the only reason zydeco artists might tour in New Orleans is because they know tourists expect it to be there. Interestingly enough N.O Creoles didn't play or like Jazz type music, they considered it "American" music and it was associated with "Negroes" and they didn't want to associate with "Negroes" but as time went on Jazz and brass bands took over and replace the French LaLa amongst N.O. Creoles.

I'm from Louisiana, cajuns are the French that came from Canada, creoles are the black people that mixed with the French, cajuns, Spanish, and native Americans etc. Cajun and creole culture have a lotta similarities tho

They are triracial and not just black. There's a difference between creoles and african americans. African Americans part of the Transatlantic slave trade as a result of British, are dissimilar to creoles of Louisiana, in regards to culture, language, and triracial backgrounds. Creoles of Louisiana are descendants of Haitians, french, Spanish and native american. African Americans are mixed with British, Irish to a small degree, the ones part of the colonies, so to speak. Creoles have a large percentage of European ancestry compared to African Americans. Also, worth mentioning, is that some creoles have little or no African ancestry. Some are french and Spanish only, and others are french or Spanish with Native American ancestry, but no African. To lump creoles and African Americans in the same category, is blatantly false.
