My family had a cabin on Weishorn Drive in the early 60's until my grandma sold it in the 70's. So many great memories at the beach and dances at the St. Moritz! Spent so many holidays there! Made our childhood so much fun!!👍💕💕

I grew up there on Valley road. From 1964 till 1995 I moved to North Texas along the Red River. It's a beautiful place but getting out of there was one of the best things I ever did.

I grew up there. I haven't been up there since 2010, but it's funny how I recognize all the forest locations in this video. Definitely filmed around VOE and the back area of the summer camp. OMFG how I miss those mountains. I live in Yucaipa now, which isn't that far but I miss my hometown!! I lived up there from 1994-2010

Excellent job! Might I suggest that although we generally say "San Ber-na-dino", for a documentary you may want to say "San Ber-Nar-Dino.

I grew up there, and sure do miss it! Was there from the 70’s through the 80’s lived in Valley of The Moon as a child and was shot in the eye with a BB gun, by another kid; another time I remember a huge rattlesnake in our driveway that was under our car… and sledding in the snow storms. As a teen we moved over To the Skyland area - what a great childhood and other memories made here. I love those mountains.

Very enjoyable! You have some great art and graphics. Coupla things. The forest wasn't ravaged by gold mining, it was ravaged by lumbering. If you ever do an update, it would be great if you could talk about and show some metates, as they were a crucial part of the Serrano's existence. Minor point: It's "San Mor-ITZ." Great doc, you packed in a lot of stuff and showcased our little town.

Very informative. I am thinking about moving up there and am more concerned about the variety of meth heads. I am told they are native to the Valley of Enchantment area (??)

American Pancake you’re right. You see some crazies walking around. At goodwins the grocery store and at the gas stations. I’m from north GA and Ive lived overlooking lake Gregory for the past 2 years. No one has ever bothered me yet! I dig it up here on the mountain!

We dont have grizzly bears in Crestline.
@jessybee13894 жыл бұрын
There used to be! The native Americans that lived there hunted small game, but wouldn't hunt the bears since they believed it was their ancestors new form. But the new inhabitants started to hunt the bears in the 30s and well into the 70s too, which sadly wiped them out.
