I have one of these. It is a 1991 V3500 SRW Silverado Crew Cab. Rust free Nevada desert truck. It has 350/4L80E/NP205/Dana 60/14-Bolt. Even though it has a new crate 350, custom built 4L80E, all new tanks, pumps, senders, wire harness, suspension, brakes, body mounts, ring pinions, tires, rims it is only worth about $30,000 because the interior is decent (but original), and the body has some small dings here and there. The paint is a cheap Macco paint job with no clear coat.

This is literally my dream truck! I have a ‘21 L5P that I would straight up trade for this. This is probably worth more though.

This was a very nice truck it sold as soon as we posted a truck like this typically goes somewhere in the 50 to 70,000 price point depending on its modification, etc.

1988 was the first year for the trip odometer in both the square bodies & OBSs. The only square body models that were dropped in 1988 were the half ton & three quarter ton plain cab pickups. What's interesting is the one ton plain cab pickups were the only models to come in both the square body & OBS designs which was from 1988 - 1989. Rewind to 1987, the C/K series were dropped & renamed R/V series & the reason for the change was to make a distinction between the square body models & the upcoming next generation C/K series pickups which were the OBSs for the 1988 model year because both body designs were gonna be in production at the same time which lasted up through 1991.

@@DavisOffRoad1 here's something else interesting. Believe it or not, evolution on those square bodies began in 1968 which was when development on them started. At the time, vehicle components underwent simulated testing before the prototypes were built for real world testing. They drew pictures of different designs of the next generation trucks to decide what they wanted them to look like. At the time, the designs didn't look anything like the square bodies. They also began building clay models of them too which also didn't look close to the square body design. In 1969, a concept pickup was built & it looked similar to the 1972 - 1980 Dodge fullsize pickups & originally their plan was to start producing them in the 1972 model year but got pushed back to the 1973 model year instead. The reason that happened was people didn't like the design of the concept pickup so they went back to the drawing board to think of a different design. It wasn't until the beginning of the 1970 model year when the clay models began to look more like the square bodies. They built several different designs on their square body clay models & it wasn't until during the summer season of 1972 when a design was finally picked for mass production & thaz when the real square body models were finally being produced & released. 4 years in the making.

Beautiful truck. Im fortunate to have a unicorn 85’ crew dually 4x4 camper special. Barn find of the century. 94k miles. It was actually given to me by a customer of mine. Its since been lifted and restored. It will also fetch big money if i ever sell it. Iam going to say much rarer than this truck. If i were to guess a have one of maybe a half dozen in the whole country as clean as mine.

A few years ago I tried to ask about a K30 crew cab single rear wheel 4x4 that had been sitting in a driveway for a few years (it never moved at all), judging by the grille I think it was an 89. Even though it sat for a few years, it was still solid. Each time I knocked on the door, I could see a man watching at a distance inside but he would never come to the door. About 4 years ago, I drive by the place and I seen that rare K30 crew cab being cut up for scrap. It was tough to see, especially today seeing what these trucks are selling for.
