I’m a resident of Henderson. I own a house in Henderson. I’ve had interactions with the Henderson PD. I’ve seen Henderson PD behavior that I don’t like on multiple occasions. I’d say that qualifies me to comment beyond just “yapping”

And guess what - the police will be responsible for NOTHING in damages. Insurance won't pay either. Anything that's damaged will be the responsibility of the homeowner to pay for repairs. It's pretty sick really. I largely support the police, but I find this kind of thing pretty disgusting. It happens all the time. Some nut barricades himself in a house, house is destroyed by police, owner is stuck with the bill. Getting anyone to pay is almost impossible.

So Trevor allegedly attacked a roommate, sa? Dv... Shot at roommate when fleeing.. gun shots all over in garage as seen by robot last night on Las Vegas News live, (who is live now..) until metro swat unlawfully threatened to arrest their journalist who'd been in the exact spot for hours, streaming on a delay, and prior department in charge knew he was there. Trevor allegedly is heavily armed, has gas mask, armor, wants to die by cop and had multiple gun interactions with officers threatening to end himself or asking if they'd off him if he aimed it at them.. Swat attempted to motivate him by barking dog recordings since he's afraid of the police dogs, at least that's according to the negotiator who was in contact with him off and on thru the night until their batteries died. ** All this I'm writing is from the scanner and chat last night. (Las Vegas News live) They cut water and power, and gave him a landline to communicate or he already has one. They tore off the garage door using the swat vehicle, pulling it over a parked vehicle sitting in the driveway which seems likely to belong to Trevor but idk... Late last night it sounded like they were bringing family in to talk to him down but idk if that was done. The swat ran out of chemical bomb things at one point, after using a bunch in series of about 6 chemical and 3 flash bangs, to no avail. They did this several times until they ran out of at least the tear gas. Many residents gathered by the police line in shock and wondering how and when they be able to access their homes and pets, etc. They sent the robot in several times, had blown out all the windows and sent drones in which landed to give swat a view inside. They thought Trevor went into the attic, shortly after trying to locate him again, he went in the bedroom and knocked the drone camera over, then threw it down the stairs according to the scanner chatter. He later did something similar with the other live feed drone, causing swat to have no visual inside. At various times you'd see swat approaching the home, entering the garage, going back to stay behind the swat vehicles to make a new plan or change shifts, etc. .. They had speakers set up to make announcements to him and were calling him out all throughout. Things changed when Metro took over. Their comms were secure so no one knew what was happening and they threatened to arrest Las Vegas news live ... and shut the delayed stream down. That's the best i can recall atm... I feel like police should be forthcoming in telling us why this is going on and more details about this guy and why they're taking this approach! Demolition of private property to access a wanted man seems massively excessive when they're just waiting him out anyway. If you're just waiting him out, just Wait, you don't need to destroy everything. Especially since your not like running in to get him, your just tearing up the house. If there's some serious need for this, maybe one of the guys hanging out behind the bear cat waiting... Could come talk to the community and give at least some basic information about what's going on!

The town isn't doing it. Things like this have always been done by LE. This is the quickest way to get the neighbors back in the home, and the safest way to keep LE alive. This guy made a choice, he could have came out by now. Start him a go fund me for a new house if you don't like the results he got by not coming out.

@@Bubbs88 why wait! Property tax here in Cass County between Brainsrd and Grand Rapids, 250k home is 1k per year. A lot of people moved up during covid, not a ton of jobs but much better than 10 years ago. Had lived in so cal for 13 years and in Oregon. Lost my aircraft mech job from covid. Not many places I could have retired at 62. Have to deal with those noisy loons though! Lol! Great summer vacations from here to MI's upper penninsula.

I wonder what this individual did that made it worth all the expensive, militarized swat teams, destruction of a new home. One thing for sure, with Metro and HPD having to fit this boondoggle into their budgets, you don't want to speed at all around Vegas now.
