Where is the concrete pump at as well? They could easily make this a permanent fix. Better than original.

As if the excavator is bailing water out one bucket at a time!! Reporter, FYI, he trying to remove the ice...smh. You see, ice expands as it freezes and will take out whatever is in its way. The water board sells water and kept too much in a dam that is 150 years old and has been raised over the years. If anything should have been learned over the past four years it is that greed is much more important than public safety.

Dipping the water out a bucket at a time, isn’t helping. The rock back up is. 35 year experience running excavators, I would gladly donate my time to the effort at my favorite lake.

I can not believe that removing the water from behind the dam will reduce the threat of dam failure. We should all be vigilant and know that the rocks in the dam may fall and roll over us downstream. Run for your lives.
