Could you please do some 2nd or 3rd person view wheelies? It would be cool to watch you pull the wheelies.

Not many trails/tracks in your spot on the globe, thats not good at all, I guess it’s time to ADV to afar.

Very good video.. 👍 Cover that back brake when learning, until it second nature, that's my advice. Because once you get good at wheelies, you'll need to change gears, up in the wheelie, to do this smoothly and easily, you need to be right up near the balance point, to unload the drive train as it were. That is when, for safety reasons, that ability to cover the is very handy 😀 👌🏻

That’s all correct, I’ve been able to wheelie for years since I was 16 , now I’m 55, I’m only showing that you can get a underpowered bike up on the back wheel, I also have a Husky te300 and it’s easy to change gears and do one handed wheelies. The Yamaha T700 is a quite difficult bike to do it on, I can change gears but I can’t do one handers , it’s way to heavy. The best bike for wheelies is a 690/701/700 motard, I only just sold one.

I've got the same bike, front wheel seems glued to the road. Are you putting much muscle into pulling up the bars as you throttle on? Dumping the clutch? I'm a crap rider so there's that too...
@raffs_adv9 ай бұрын
Hi Richard, I only pull up lightly because If you pull really hard it can upset your position in the wheelie, I use some clutch but only a small flick , your goal is to get the lowest amount of rpm as possible or there’s going to be to much wheel spin. Practice on a high grip surface as flat or slight uphill as possible, and If you own a mountain bike they are great for learning balance point, but remember these bikes have very heavy fuel tanks which make it tricky for balance point, unlike an enduro bike.

... Same here. The bike doesn't seem to have enough power (totally stock engine, air box, filter, ecu) to get the front wheel up. I'll try using the clutch a bit and see what happens. . Jeff .

The engine is modified , I used to do wheelies 800 metres for fun on IT 200s …owned a rally 3000kms can’t get the front wheel up in stock form . 150kg bike . But maybe I am rusty …or just getting scared in my old age .😊

Is this a good bike to learn wheelies on? I have a Tenere 700 and I'm looking for a smaller bike to learn wheelies on.
@raffs_adv8 ай бұрын
Hi , I have both the T7 and 300 Rally, you can wheelie both BUT not as a beginner, one is to heavy to control and the other is underpowered, I would learn on a 350cc enduro bike Ktm/husky/GasGas, that way you can learn techniques quickly and much safer.

@@raffs_adv Thanks. A light Enduro bike it is then.

... Is your bike on all stock ECU, exhaust pipe, air filter, etc. In other words, stock power? Thanks. Jeff
@raffs_adv2 ай бұрын
Hi, It’s got twin air filter, motoX exhaust, 550 Ecu tuned for Australian 91oct fuel, but I could wheelie it standard just as easily, it’s just practice , and a good rear tyre helps, all my mods do is make it run cooler and smoother really.

@@raffs_adv ... Thank you. I have the- DNA air filter, Yoshimura RS4 full exhaust, 550 Ecu Stage 1 tune for 91oct fuel. Very similar to yours. Is your gearing stock? 14/40? I'm considering got to a 42 or 45T. Jeff

@@240LTS I run oem gearing, and oem tyre size, some people go with D606’s but they are to big for the bike.
