Sagi Lakshmi Venkatapathy Raju, popularly known as Venkatapathy Raju, says that the game of cricket has given him a great life. The left-arm-spinner from Hyderabad served the Indian team for more than a decade in the 90s. The lion-hearted bowler has got 93 wickets in 28 Tests and 63 wickets in 51 ODIs. Raju did great service to Hyderabad cricket in a Ranji Trophy career from 1986 to 2004. He was the member of the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy winning squad (1987). Post-retirement, Raju is associated with the game as administrator, national selector, cricket development officer and commentator.
